I live in NJ and have been doing some research on Syringe availability. Everything I have read says that Gov. Chrisite signed a bill into law allowing the sale of up to 10 syringes without a prescription. This law was supposed to be in effect as of last week July 15th, 2012, but every pharmacy I have called says that you need a prescription. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with purchasing syringes OTC(Over the Counter) here in NJ, especially interested in Northern NJ. I know all about going to NY and the exchanges we have, but sometimes it is easier to just walk into a pharmacy and get what you need. It's ridiculous that you can't buy syringes in a pharmacy OTC in the name of harm reduction. The Paterson exchange has been closed all week, and I can't drive to NY, it's too far without a car. I am hoping someone has had some luck buying them OTC around here, it seems that the pharmacists are not up on the law or are just choosing to ignore it.
