NJ HEADS: JERSEY SHORE THREAD! Fav/least fav shore town?Rate em, share memories&more!

from the we are bluelight thread, got me thinkn

anybody in jerz got a favorite spot to hit when they go down the shore in the summer. some ppl prefer seaside, or wildwood, or long beach island everybody got a different preference. So here is the thread to tell us about:

Which town is your favorite shore destination and why?

The ones you dont like, and why?

Your ratings/opnions (obvously like the title said, lol) of all the other ones or watever ones you been to.

and, Any good shore stories, memories and general talk about our wonderful Jersey Shore. aint nowehere else like it.

WARNING: ONE THING THIS THREAD AINT FOR:
DEBATE ON IF OTHER STATES SHORES ARE BETTER! Its all different and other states beaches (Beaches, cuz only jersey got 'down the shore' anywhere else is a beach lol) got shit goin for em. So this aint a thread sayin our shore is superior or braggin dont get it twisted. ts just that we got such a distinct jersey flavor and our shore is famous(infamous? ;)) all thru the US so I know we need our own tread to talk about it.

island state beach park is cool

LBI is a lil to froo froo for me, buncha ritchies , but my girls parents got a real nice house down there , so thats where i been going, real nice house

but the beach is the beach , i just loverd the beach so any one will do, if someone offers me a ride

one time at point pleasant , me and my boys was partying on the beach, i see a shadow approach us in the distance , im like fuck bury the beer , i dont wanna entertain no pig for the night
ended up being a chinaman wearing a suit and covered in sand
he was like no english no passport ,telephone call nyc, we gave him a beer , and was like relax G, we'll take you to a phone

i thought he just got drunk and his friends bailed on him, so when the drinking was done, we were going back to the hotel, when a bunch of point pleasants undercovers roll up on us in a pick up truck
yelling chinaman get on the ground get on the ground guns drawn

WTF im like lee you better get on the ground
so they put the poor fellah in cuffs
and my buddy was like whats going on
the cop said a boat hit a sandbar and got grounded and 21 or 23 chinese people all swam ashore and scattered

before the china dude got taken away he gave me some oragami he did
its two hearts
i still carry it in my wallet =D

99-05 was my boardwalk yearzzz till i grew out of it. round these parts though, you only go down to wildwood for partying after prom. you goto seaside if you wanna spend alot of money, you goto pt. pleasnt if you wanna spend less money and you goto belmar if your just trying to gb2beach.

Yo, you can never be too old for wildwood. seaside is boring and their boardwalk aint as cool. belmar is a shitty "family" shore town, point pleasants beach SUCKS DICK considering the slope is like this:

Sand, sand, sand, HOLYSHITIMOVERMYHEAD, UNDERTOW!!!8o

If you REALLY "just want to go to the beach" then u should go to Seven President Beach, on long beach island. Its a nature park thing, state park or watever, and its beautiful untouched, just sand n dunes and hardly anybody goes there, at least like 5 years back the last time when i was there it was like that.

ocean city got a OK beach but its mad quiet, plus apparently its supposed to be a 'dry' town so there aint no liquor stores and you got to drive out of town to get somethin to drink, thats beat.

its also very family oriented n boring n all the houses are like those new condo style townhouse shits, they aint even got the cool old school shore beach houses like in wildwood, the little tiny stucco shacks painted green and pink with raggedy ass front lawns in patches of brown grass. I <3 those. when i was a kid every year me , my moms, my 2 sisters and my uncle and cousin who is my age would all go stay in this 2 bedroom beach shack for a week down there in wildwood crest, it was 333 toledo ave, i still remember it. then later on we found a motel near the same area called the sand dollar motel i think.

Atlantic city and wildwood are my 2 favorite shore towns, the only ones i will go to unless im invited somewhere free, but i wont even fuck with point pleasant at all. its so lame in every way. weak ass excuse for a 'boardwalk' , tons of orthodox jew-curl jews and swarms of bus loads of korean church groups (Nothin against em, just they seem to take over the whole place and they walk in walls of people that is impossible to break up when you try to walk)

wildwood and AC got kick ass boardwalks, tons of shit to do, a party atmosphere all the time which i 100% require when im on vacation.

Beach G? I'd rather tan at a salon.

My favorite is Asbury Park, for a multitude of reasons. Most of those reasons are a few blocks in.

The boardwalk in Ocean Grove is great to chill back on. Especially in the off season.

I don't understand the love a lot of folks have for highschool party towns like Seaside Heights and Wildwood.

Belmar for the free parking (moot now that I'm on two wheels) and waves.

Wildwood for biker week, and my buddy is a guitarist in Jimmy Van Zandt's band so I get free tickets, hotel, and beer.

Island Beach for the weird sand dunes and vegetation.

I think Point Pleasant sucks too. It definitely has to be the lamest of the shore towns.

I like Asbury a lot, but I kinda liked it more before they were fixing it up. Friends and I just used to get fucked up and walk through the ruins.

I like Long Branch probably the most only because it's the closest and I know all the good spots to hideaway and get fucked up and not bothered :)

I miss the ruins too. The decrepitude had been an attraction since I was in highschool.

there was a business meeting i had down in AC
i stopped off at this lil place on the boardwalk for a gyro

goddamn that was the best gyro of my life
i had 3 of em

it was an old dimmly lit greek joint

I aint been to asbury park since 2005, god only knows wat kind of yuppiefied shadow of wat it used to be it turned into. It definately used to be one of my favorites tho. IDK if i would love it the same now. I got a lot of fucked up memories of that place.

Noodle why love wildwood, Cuz its history, when the only vacation u ever go on is 2 days in wildwood since u were kneehigh, u love that shit. I just ignore the bro's and bro ho's n do my thing. Never bad on a fresh nod. And the lights music and boardwalk on a friday or saturday night just hits that feeling in me.

i sometimes goto manasquan beaches to pick up rich yuppie white chicks and drain their daddy's bank accounts. :]

laceyk, your dead on about the pt pleasant beach falling off like that. if you keep swimming though there's usually a sandbar out there. people all like wtf what he doing all the way out there and i'm standing on water like jesus or soemthing haha

only reason i really goto belmar beach (away from 16ave tho) is because its a dead shot down 195 to the beach for me, only takes about 10 minutes and i have pretty good luck finding / creating parking spots heh

The boardwalk in Ocean Grove is great to chill back on. Especially in the off season.

haha dead on broh. I noticed you mentioned Clancey's the bar right outside OG in the dirty jerz thread too. I shared an apartment in ocean grove for a summer once, it was good times. Alot of yumyum chinese food after drinking all night at clancys lol ;)

Hahaha Yummy Yummy never ceases to make me chuckle when I drive by. But I've never stopped in.

I haven't tried the sushi there yet.

I usually do scrambled eggs and toast in the morning.
