Is that saying that if you're over 18 it is legal for you to use propellants and gases (i.e. N2O) as intoxicants? Is this the same in Australia? I was always under the impression that if the cops caught you with a cracker, bulbs and a balloon that you would be in trouble. Not so?

I don't know the legality of using propellants/gases as intoxicants, but as far as being caught by the cops with nitrous/cracker/balloons, they can't do squat. Had a few friends who've been caught with said items and the worst that happened was one had their cracker confiscated, teehee! :D

i brought in a full balloon from the car before and they didnt question me, but i figured they might look strangely if i brought in about 10.....
 
If anyone is worried about getting sprung inside or outside an event with bulbs or a bulberator, I suggest getting a cracker like the one in this picture.

They are a great compact easy to use alternative.

Inhaling from a whipped cream bottle does not seem to produce the level of effects which a cartridge filled balloon does, so I finally got hold of some N20 cartridges today. The recreational use of nitrous oxide requires the cream charger cartridges, a “cracker” and a balloon. The cracker is a contraption which pierces the cartridge and releases the (very cold) nitrous oxide on the other side, which would ideally be occupied by a balloon. This cracker is made by the resourceful CT:

The open threaded end is where the balloon fits over and the other side can be screwed apart to fit a cartridge in and then screwed in, piercing the seal and filling the balloon. Very nifty device. Each cartridge seems to be able to fill a balloon, and that volume is just comfortable for my lungs to inhale.

er....I thought you were kidding at first...you guys don't have NOS crackers as a matter of course over there?? Thats pretty roflmao...We buy them in dairy's here for like 30-40 bucks...I wasn't even aware you could use the actual cream container thingy's...man...you crazy Aussies...and that price = !!!!

Cyberdyne, could you please tell me where you find this? As a law student I've always wondered what the exact legal position on nitrous is (for purely academic reasons of course)

at the local deli i get me nangs for $6 for a 10pack box :P
