Misc Nitrous and Alkyl Nitrite

I was recently studying up on nitrous after buying my first ever cream dispenser and chargers.
Thought i might discover before using what the harms and other shit etc were.
While reading through Wikipedia there was a mention on space surfing, which is using nitrous and alkyl nitrate together.
When i tried to find out what an alkyl nitrate was i couldnt find shit except its compounds and chemical makeup etc
does anyone know what this is and anything that would help me better be able to search for more information.

Oh yeah, that's what you want to get as well, alkyl nitrite. The nitrate version is not recreational.

Give you a head rush, I guess...I usually hear my heart thumping real loud in my ears.

i looked up alkyl nitrate on wikipedia which is where i was also looking up about the niotrous

this page was not helpful in the effects of recreational use and as for poppers ive only ever heard of amyl nitrate. whats the difference between the 2?
or
would using amyl nitrate be the same as alkyl nitrate and give the same effect when mixing with nitrous to cause this so called "space surfing"

Inhaling nitrous oxide in conjunction with an alkyl nitrite (aka poppers) is in some circles referred to as "space surfing", as the nitrous oxide acts synergistically with the alkyl nitrite to create strong (but short-lived) euphoria, analgesia, dissociation, and in some cases, sensations of internal movement or agitation

I found when I mixed nitrous with amyl nitrite it wasn't great.
Nitrite will give you a head rush, a bit like you've stood up too fast, your head feels like it's going to explode and you hear your heart beating in your ears.

Nitrous is a pleasant euphoric tingly feeling. Both last between 30 seconds and 2 minutes I suppose. When I've had them together, it feels like the effects are fighting each other and the nitrite overpowers the more pleasant nitrous.

Alkyl nitirite could refer to a variety of nitrites, including isobutyl nitrite. The only difference is that amyl nitrite is much stronger then the alkyl nitrites.

So, if anything, you would probably need to use a bit more alkyl nitrite to reach the same intensity of effects then you would with amyl nitrite.

If you really want a chemistry lesson, here it is: amyl nitrite is simply a nitrite group (NO2) with five carbons and 11 hydrogens attached. Alkyl nitrites covers a variety of compounds with a carbon and hydrogen chain attached to an NO2 group.

In summary: quit saying nitrate!

Yes, in fact I think what happened is that when amyl nitrite became a prescription drug, poppers manufacturers had to switch to other alkyl groups to be allowed to go on selling the stuff, but the effect is the same. Poppers sold in sex-shops in Europe contain isobutyl nitrite.

The main hasard of poppers is their inadequate packaging: only the vapour should be inhaled. The liquid is poisonous and corrosive. It should be sold in flasks equipped with a drip-drop to avoid spilling on the skin/nose/eyes. Most accidents with poppers occur following of accidental ingestion or spilling.

Nitrates are used in fertilizers, explosives, and are a major pollutant in underground water.

The nitrous oxide referred to in the Wikipedia quotation is laughing gas, an oxide of nitrogen, neither a nitrite nor a nitrate. Laughing gas is recreational in its own right. I don't know about getting your hand on it though except if you work as a dentist or in a hospital.

i bought mine from the internet
and thanks i didnt realise it was nitrite
it might be a little easier to search now
ive had amyl and nitrous seperately so i am familiar with the effects i was only asking as it is written in wikipedia that it is a common thing to mix these 2 and i was asking for any experiences with that.
has anyone tried it and experienced this so called "space surfing"

I like alkyl alot.. Need to time it properly though 10-15 mins after you start peaking
or 20-30 seconds before you think youll cum haha

+ tolerance is gained pretty quickly

I use poppers quite frequently when rolling.
Especially good if you are having sex.
E + cannabis + poppers will whack you right out of this world.
But don't huff too much as you might have convulsions.

Darn...I've just done a post on this very topic on the N2o mega thread....

Me and girlfriend enjoy poppers, especially with sex of course, hit them too hard and you get a banging headache, but done sensibly we've never had a problem.

I particularly like them in conjunction with a Noz balloon, for us at least we do it in three possible variations.

1. couple of sniffs of the popper and then take the noz balloon, if you are already rolling with something else it can REALLY enhance what you are already experiencing.

2. Pour a small amount of the liquid into the charger ( a very small amount I might add) before filling the balloon. Pretty effective, possibly a better combination of the two I think.

3. Use a pipette to add a 3 or 4 tiny drops of the popper into the balloon then fill as normal from the charger....just done that one and was well cool...will look forward to trying it when I'm up on something else.


I also wondered if a cool way to try a popper might be to pour a little of the liquid into a balloon, and then inflate balloon slightly and breath in an out a couple of times.....NOT recommended!! Almost blew my fucking head off!!!
