Nitrazepam Hangover?

I've been feeling agitated, depressed/lethargic, lack of will to do anything, etc... I've just been in bed 90% of the past 2 days. I don't give a shit about anything or to talk to anyone.

And I think it's contributed to the 15mg Nitrazepam I took each night for the past 2 nights.

How do I, or are there any tips to, stop feeling like this? I need to study and fuck, even 10mg Dexedrine didn't do shit.

It also may possibly be because of my 2 days of missed Amitriptyline dose, but that's only 25mg/night. Not for depression, for neuropathy.

I only have 16 5mg Dexedrine's left that I don't want to waste as it's intense midterm time in University, so that's out of the question for tonight I believe.

I've taken l-tyrosine, 100mg caffeine morning and 100mg more in evening, multivitamin with a healthy meal...

Never taking recommendations by word-of-mouth for benzos ever again :|!

I warned you about the Nitrazepam hangover. It tends to make you quite groggy and lethargic the next day.

However I think a lot of your shit feelings could be due to missing 2 nights of Amitriptyline which would definitely make you feel agitated. It doesn't matter what reason you take it for, but the fact that you take it every day and have skipped the dose for two days.

ADs have horrible withdrawals.

Yeah, I am guessing it is because you didn't take your Elavil mostly. The nitrazepam may play a small part in the apathy and lethargy, but really as Tripman said AD wd's are not fun.

Thought so. Thanks for the response. Gave confirmation to my theories.

Any idea how long the nitraz hangover lasts on average?

Also, I took my ami dose early yesterday morning and last night so hopefully soon enough that will be back in order...?

You did warn me though, haha, damn nitrazepam.

EDIT: Would a Valium help? Or just add to the problem, lol... I'm thinkin' add to the problem. I don't want to waste Dexedrines if these negative symptoms overlap it's effects. Guess only time will heal? God I'm desperate... It's shitty.

When I took nitrazepam (5-10mg at night), I took it around 2 hours before bed, slept around 8 hours, and felt a little groggy in the morning (more than usual, I'm always a zombie in the morning anyway) for an hour or two. So for me the total duration seemed to be around 12 hours; take it a couple of hours before bedtime, get a decent amount of sleep, and accept that you'll be a bit goofy in the morning and may burn several pieces of toast to a crisp - you should be straight in an hour or two.

Nitrazepam is a long acting benzo, I will have to agree with above poster take it atleast 12 hours before you need to perform.

Have you tried Temazepam before?

Nitrazepam is an highly sedating long-acting hypnotic - the hangover is very natural. A stimulant will take the hangover away - amphetamine, methylphenidate, or even something like phentermine might help. If you don't have access to such drugs then try caffeine (doubt it will work though).

Temazepam is very similar to nitrazepam but with no hangover. Try that. Nitrazepam is a bit more sedating than temazepam, but not by much. In fact, I have found nitrazepam to be the most sedating benzo I have tried next to triazolam. Its even more sedating than its child-drug, flunitrazepam.
