I have taken about 20mg of Nitrazepam in the past 2 hours, and am feeling mildy drowsy, but nothing unbearable.

Background Information:
I am a young adult male, weighing approximately 120lbs, with a height of about 5'9". I have a very fast metabolism.

My question is:

Assuming a dose of 20mg Nitrazepam was taken 90-120min prior, would a dose of approximately 120mg of Tramadol (crushed to counteract extended release properties of these specific pills) cause a different high? And how so? Will this potentiate the effects of the benzo? I do not intend to increase the sedative effects of the benzodiazepines, I only wish to potentiate the Tramadol to the point where I can feel an opiate effect. (Although technically speaking Tramadol is not a legitimate opiate, per se. It is synthetic and has different qualities.)

I believe my body may produce a very low amount of enzymes required to digest Tramadol so that it effects me. I have taken doses up to 300mg of Tramadol with absolutely no opiate-like qualities to the experience; only a headache that lasts up to 24 hours.

On an additional note - I take 60mg of extended release Biphentin (Methylphenidate HCl) which is prescribed to me - and I take it on a daily basis, only occasionally skipping a day of taking it so that I can have a slightly increased dosage for a day to achieve more of a "Hyperfocus" state.

On a side note - what would the effects of Poppy Seed Tea (Morphine, Codeine, etc.) when used with a slightly higher dose of Nitrazepam than I am subscribed? How much potentiation occurs? Is the feeling different entirely?

Any and all input is appreciated - I like to educate myself as much as possible before new adventures with psychoactive substances.

^ sounds like the tramadol isnt going to work for you.
you could try potentiating with grapefruit juice, but if you felt nothing from 300mg i dont know what you think you will get from 120mg...

benzos just add to the sedation and OD potential when taken with opiates

I have decided that I will not ever be taking Tramadol again. I achieve no effects of any sort whatsoever.

My plan for tonight is:
5mg of Nitrazepam (Would it be alright to take 10mg of Nitrazepam?)
2 and 1/3 pounds of Poppy Seeds made into tea. (I have been getting these seeds from one source consistently, and the opiate content of these seeds very minimally. This amount of seeds gets me a fairly strong effect, but over the past several weeks I have built up a mild tolerance.)
1 x 25mg Diphenhydramine pill. (Unsure if I will take this at this point, please comment)
~500mL of Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice

In your experience, in relatively small amounts, how much do Benzodiazepines potentiate opiate effects? Is it substantial enough that I should reduce my PST intake due to a drastic increase in risk?

I highly recommend the diphen, although I'll normally take 50mg (although I'm not too sensitive to it). I also highly recommend getting some Cimetidine, if you like how the diphen works (I certainly do). Cimetidine/Tagamet makes a HUGE difference, imho even more than diphen alone. You could use WGF juice instead of Cimetidine, but Cimetidine is so much easier to ingest as it comes in pill form and the dose is standardized.

Here is my general ideal potentiation schedule: 200-600mg Cimetidine 45 minutes before dosing your opioid of choice; 25-50mg diphen taken along with your opioid of choice; another 200-400mg Cimetidine about 15 minutes after you dose.

Happy camping ;)

i know people said this before but mixing benzos with opiates isn't really that great of an idea, quite risky
but idk, it's been a while since you took the pills so idk if it'd still be just as risky, they're small doses but idk, me personally, i wouldn't do it

oh nvm i just seen this is an old thread
