The blurb from a chem vendor about this substance: -
Equal potency to MMQualone
Higher theraputic index
Longer Duration
Fewer / No adverse CNS effects at theraputic levels

Chamical Name: Nippoqualone, NQualone, NQ
IUPAC Name: 4-Acetyl-1-(4-chloro-2-methylphenyl)-5-methyl-1H-imidazol-2(3H)-one

Chemical structure:

Comments?

My lab monkeys will have this soon, I am unsure whether they will taste it.

It prove to be pretty inactive. The vendor I know has taken it off his catalogue.

The inventors compared the action of this compound (in the patent) to methaqualone.
I advise caution and a low starting dose, as there's only one single ref for this compound out there, being: GB 1.397.859, from 1973 (35 years, not 25!), and hardly any human experiences.

Murphy

I'll titrate my dosage up from 1mg smoked.

I adored MMQ (probably far too much) and hopefully this compound will be a less AMPA affecting version, that retains the "Oh wow, I am about to pass out but this feels so good" high that G'ing out is very comparable too.

I would love it if it had a longer duration, and longer come up via all methods, it would really help my fiending ways.

If you want a longer (smoother?) come-up, then don't smoke it as this the second fastest way for application (only injection is faster)...

It wasn't actually the smoothness I was complaining about, MMQ was nearly a perfect drug for me, the only problem was the redose urge was far too great for my poor self control, and the onset time of 10 seconds and the high lasting 3 minutes made it so accessible, if both these were lengthened I think I would have the self control to use it rather than abuse it.

Just wishful thinking on my part, I want an accurate comparison to MMQ so I will be smoking it, but I will severely limit the amount at my disposal.

I have seen this as well. Nippoqualone- they have it listed as new qualudes. Sounds a little wierd to me. methyl-methaqualone has been giving some bad side-effects, so if this vendor is legit, I would be careful with it.

Maybe stick to the more tried research chemicals unless you really like trying new things on yourself.

methyl-methaqualone has been giving some bad side-effects,

Really? I don't want to reveal the amount of that stuff I got through.
I certainly felt the pro-seizure aspect as after high doses my hands would shake uncontrollably, but I have noticed nothing else negative about the drug in any way shape or form, can you list the negatives you have noticed, as I may have experienced them and assigned them to other things in my system?

Maybe stick to the more tried research chemicals unless you really like trying new things on yourself.

It is a semi moral thing, i.e. I don't really think I should be taking substances if I am not willing to ingest new ones, same with pharma drug testing.

Most of my experimentation/dabbling is research based in some way shape or form, often to the detriment of my situation.

I had shaky hands, which worried me because of all the talk about siezures.

The real worrisome effect was my vision went real bad. I could only see sections that would go in and out and was blurry. this only lasted a few minutes, but worried me.

I may try again im not sure. I went through a gram of another batch of the stuff with great effects.

I experiment with some pretty unknown substances as well, but its probably not the best thing for us lol.

I wouldn't call that a methaqualone analogue....

Edit:

The claim: Fewer / No adverse CNS effects at theraputic levels

does this have any backing? I can't find any reports of humans taking this substance anywhere. My brief encounter with methylmethaqualone taught me that you have to approach these things with caution. If you insist on taking untested drugs please be sensible!

no kidding, where are the similarities? I don't care when they decided to tack "qualone" to the end of the name.

judging from its structure, i would claim that this compound exerts its effects through the benzodiazepine-receptor.
it has the same para-chloro-aniline in it like all benzodiazepines and many other agents acting on the this receptor, eg zopiclone.

I tried a quick fit of diazepam and "nippoqualone" in Chem3D. This is the result (the 2D-inlet shows the orientation of nippoqualone, the yellow molecule, for better recognition):

Draw your own conclusions! ;)

Peace! Murphy

Edit: Plz note that I made a small mistake: The methyl group at the phenyl-ring from nippoqualone is missing. But it's easy to see where it belongs... UNFORTUNATELY, this isn't trivial as the phenyl could rotate a bit due to that methyl. DAMN! So that finally, both rings are not co-planar any more. At least in theory

Murphy- That's VERY interesting. One wou;ld think that a benzene group coming off the 4 carbon would make a nice fit... with a ketone to place it right, maybe.

If someone has the patent number. please tell me...

The patent number was stated above! Again:
DE 2361145 (1973)
GB 1397859 (1973)
JP 49080067 (1972)
All three are the same...
