Can someone answer this question: I have a bottle of Nigella Sativa (Black Seed) capsules, 500mg per capsule. I have read that this stuff is an Mu and Kappa Opioide receptor...if this is true how much should I take to feel the "euphoric" feeling?

Nigella sativa oil containing melanthin, nigilline, damascene and tannin. Melanthin is toxic in large dosages and Nigelline is paralytic, so this spice must be used in moderation.

I haven't heard of Nigella being an opiate, just certain components of the extract. Kappa opiate receptor agonists are very unpleasant BTW (salvia anyone?)

Don't poison yourself... It is helpful with opiate/opioid dependence because it has muscle relaxing (More like paralyzing) properties in high doses.

I advise you use this as a headache and anti inflammatory as well as it's original spice status...

There is nothing more terrorizing than dying from paralytic drugs while not sleep or under total anesthesia.
