I have a ticket to Nick on the second of march that I can't use and would like to give away. Please Skype or message me.

dead right it is!!! I was so looking fwd to it

1 I haven't seen him since the birthday party, back in, ummm 1984 and I was off my guts on goonbag, and it was before either of us had developed our finess :P I narrowly missed seeing Grinderman at Auckland BDO 3 or 4 years ago, due to attending a mate's GF who was tipping over from too much juice... although I met him on the Waiheke Ferry about 1985.
Ah well, things usually tend to happen for a reason...

Would of been awesome to see the birthday party! Never got into Grinderman tho. What was he like when you met him?? Also nice to see you giving your ticket away instead of trying to sell it :)

haha, goonbag you dick! you have to sit by yourself as I cannot make it, and therefor will not be shouting drinks, but you can still give me pil s thanks. Nick is the tall one in the entre of the stage. Seth will be playing next weekend at Breath of life, and no, you can't have my ticket for that...:P

The birthday party was well ahead of their time, and at the time, I didnt get into them... I was at uni, and they were touring uni bars, and my flatmate, who was well into the student radio scene insisted that we had to see these guys. So we did our usual, got fully smashed on cask wine before we went, and really, I found it was just loud, and disharmonious noise. (I spose I was listening to a lot of the doors and bauhaus , bob dylan at the time, ... so wasnt impressed overly.
As to meeting Nick on the ferry, there was a strange looking dude on the Waiheke ferry, (back in the day when it was a 90 minute run) who was dressed in dark clothing, eye shadow, and looked pretty imposing sort of fella. I went and said gidday to him, asked him what he did, and he said he was a travelling musician, just coming over to the island for a bit of a look around... seemed a nice , though quiet, well spoken fella. It wasnt till I read the local rag the following week that I realised that it was Nick cave, as there was a bit of a write up about a visiting celebrity to the island. So, all in all, both experiences were somewhat anti-climaxes ...

Heh! I may take you up on that goonbag, though no guarantees about blackouts or arrestings, , hell I shall be seeing Seth on Sunday, shall report back as to how the show goes... probably about tuesday...

Righto made it home early, and I said I would report... Seth was playing immediately after Dizzy rascal, so that was a hard act to follow, anyone who has been at a Dizzy Rascal Show will know that he gets the crowd pumping.
There's not a great deal I can tell you about Sentry except that he played, it was good, cumulating in hover board and a crapload of happy fans.
However it is worth noting that I was undoubtedly the best dressed male in the arena, with no less than 26 comments of "love ya shirt bro" and at least 14 saying that I had an awesome hat, and thats not counting the people who just thumbsed up as I walked past.
360 also played, that was a good show as well
