Hello.

This is the first time I've registered on a forum aside from work related stuff. I normally wouldn't feel the need to sign up as I usually get a lot of the info I need from perusing existing threads but I have a very specific question that I hope members of Bluelight can help me with. So first question : is it bad form to post a question thread after only just joining? I've looked through a lot of this site and others for the answers I need but I could do with spelling it out myself as it really is something I need to get right.

If someone could let me know the etiquette I'd be most obliged and I hope that I can be of help to someone in the future.

no, its normal to ask questions when just joining.

just look around in the sub-categories and find the one that your question will get the most answered.

Please ask as many questions as you like - there is no need to get familiar in the section or wait until people 'know' you etc. Everyone on the site understands that people will often join the site to ask a few questions and then some will stay and some will leave.
