Sweet, I was hoping Pittsburgh would take it :D

Fleury absolutely robbed the Red Wings in the the last second (literally) of the game...he should go home feeling pretty fucking good about that one.

wow! Penguins did it!

how in the world I don't know. I was honestly writing them off when they were down 2-0 against Washington and with one gam till elimination against Detroit.

the Red Wings deserve massive respect, as much respect as the crowd showed Mohommad Ali in the beginning of the game. this was one of the best Stanley Cups because the will of the Penguins topped the absolute skill of the Red Wings.

Fleury has to feel good about himself because he played great, after getting rocked in Game 5. this series was not won by the Crosbys or Malkins, but instead by the lesser known role-players - who absolutely played their heart out.

it's always good to see teams play with everything they've got. I feel the Pittsburgh Penguins did just that this year, and it feels good to be a fan right about now.

I was only hoping Crosby was hurt so much that he could not skate with the cup. That would make me satisfied.

what could crosby have ever done to make you have wished something like that on him? the man's practically a saint and a great ambassador for the game. now if it were briere... i'd understand, but crosby? and on that note, this series wasn't won by crosby or malkin, that's for sure, but without crosby and malkin the pens wouldn't have even gotten anywhere NEAR this far. malkin (36p, 14g, 22a) and crosby (31p, 15g, 16a) went 1 and 2 respectively in total playoff points. so yes, the plugs won this series (as they usually do), but malkin and crosby certainly pulled their weight.

This is why I hate Crosby:

The Red Wings can accept that Pittsburgh is the Stanley Cup champion. Getting snubbed by Sidney Crosby is another matter.

After watching Pittsburgh hoist the Cup on Detroit's ice, the Red Wings lined up to shake hands with the Penguins as is custom in the NHL playoffs.

Detroit captain Nicklas Lidstrom was up front, followed by alternate captain Kris Draper, congratulating many of the new champions while waiting for Pittsburgh's captain.


"Nick was waiting and waiting, and Crosby didn't come over to shake his hand," Draper told an Associated Press reporter a couple hours later as he was leaving Joe Louis Arena. "That's ridiculous, especially as their captain, and make sure you write that I said that!"

Crosby eventually skated over to shake hands with the Red Wings, but many had already headed for the dressing room. Detroit forward Johan Franzen and Crosby exchanged words and Crosby then shook hands with goaltender Chris Osgood and some other Detroit players.

Pussy doesn't know how to use his fists. The only fight he has ever been in is when he jumped someone else.

And the avatar is (almost) my original. I have never changed it except for in the beginning just once. I think it was a cartoon drawing of my car for the first couple months.

no... he fought andrew ferrence a while back and if you recall threw down pretty well. when you have someone as good with their hands as he is... you don't WANT him fighting. you think the kid wouldn't throw down more often if he didn't have such valuable hands? please. he's one of the strongest players pound for pound. that's a fact. he'll be in more trouble with bylsma if he breaks those fingers than he will be by the officials for fighting. it's called being a smart hockey player. he wears a target on his back 60 minutes a game, but stays disciplined.

unfortunately i didn't record the game so i can't go back and see it and i don't recall what you're talking about to be honest (not to say it didn't happen), but who's to say he wasn't just plain caught up in what was going on and never thought to do it? like i said... i didn't see what you were talking about, so my bad if it was more obvious than it sounds.

ask lebron james. do you think lebron james is any less an ambassador for the NBA having not shaken the magic's hands? doubt it. just like i doubt a snubbing, accidental or not, by crosby will lessen the likelihood that he'll still be an ambassador for the NHL.

I've been so pissed at the wings for not playing with intensity until the last 10 minutes of the game, that I couldn't bear to come in here. I was at game 7 though. And even though my team didn't win, it was still pretty fucking awesome watching the penguins with the cup.

Cindy Crosby is no ambassador to the game. No class. Whiny bitch. Would Wayne Gretsky not shake his opponents hands? I should think not. Lebron? Yeah Lebron was dunked on by Xaiver's Jordan Crawford in a basketball camp. There would be video of it-- but guess what crybaby Lebron did? He demanded all the video be collected. 8) Fuck him. The right thing to do would be to say"hey nice job" or the like.. nope

that has nothing to do with the nhl, and besides that, lebron had nothing to do with the video's being confiscated. there were two video's of it, both collected by NIKE, the company sponsoring the camp. they confiscated the video because of two reasons, one being that there are strict rules that video recorders are forbidden and two being the kid who dunked on him was wearing adidas (not exactly good promotion for the company who runs the camp).
