NFL: Colts owner arrested on suspicion of DUI; multiple drugs found in car

INDIANAPOLIS -- Police say they found multiple prescription drugs in Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay's vehicle after he was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving.

Police in the Indianapolis suburb of Carmel say that Irsay was stopped late last night after he was spotted driving slowly, coming to a stop in the roadway and failing to use a turn signal.

Police say that Irsay, 54, failed several roadside field sobriety tests before he was arrested. Police didn't release any information about a blood-alcohol test being given to Irsay.

Carmel police said the drugs found in Irsay's vehicle weren't associated with any prescription bottles found inside.

Irsay is being held at the Hamilton County Jail under $22,500 bond. A spokeswoman for Irsay declined immediate comment. An NFL spokesman says he is subject to discipline.

^i have zero compassion for ANYONE driving fucked up, provided they're too fucked up to drive (i can drive under the influence to a point, others too.)

that said i hope he beats the drug charges, i don't like seeing anyone getting caught up in the drug war.
 
They shouldn't be even searching your car, it's a DUI. Throw him in jail and tow it. I don't like how any traffic charge becomes carte blanch to search a vehicle.

That's happened to me. I was too fucked up to argue my rights lol. Got my ID revoked right there but I got a new ID the next day anyway - I told them I "lost" my license.
Apparently irsay is in rehab now.

How do you know this guy isn't one of the "others", I'm not here for a snarky internet comment, I've probably circumnavigated the globe while fucked up...but like really who is to decide who is too fucked up? Some bluelighters can function on 200mgs of methadone, some will smash into a tree on two beers.

I thought I had something to say but I'm just drunk and chatty. Point is dude needs to get his priorities straight if he's got over a billion and is somehow still getting darvocet....
