THREE men accused of drug trafficking appeared in court today after police seized a kilogram of ecstasy tablets in raids at Melbourne homes.
Jason Downing, 31, of East Kew; Michael Thomas, 42, of Epping; and Dennis Curren, 52, of Strathewen, are all charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of methamphetamine.
Police said they discovered the ecstasy and two ecstasy-manufacturing laboratories in raids at homes in Vermont and Campbellfield.
Downing faces an additional count of possessing methamphetamine, while Curren also faces counts of cultivating and possessing cannabis.
None of the trio applied for bail during brief remand hearings at the Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
A fourth man was expected to be charged and remanded at a bedside hearing at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne later today, police said.
The three men in custody have not yet been required to enter pleas and will reappear in the same court on February 23.
