A 46-year-old Australian woman faces a mandatory death sentence after being arrested in Malaysia, allegedly carrying three kilograms of heroin.
The Melbourne woman, who was detained on Wednesday at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, has dual Australian and Yugoslav passports in the name of Gordana Parezanovic.
She appeared briefly yesterday before a magistrate in Sepang where she was remanded in custody for 14 days.
Under Malaysian law, anyone convicted of possessing more than 15 grams of heroin or 200 grams of cannabis faces mandatory death by hanging.
If convicted, she will be the fourth Australian to face the death penalty in Malaysia...
