And for all who think cops are the worst ppl in the world... just remember who is paying them???

We are... but do we have a choice? :p

Oh dont get me started.

we went to a venue** we got there at 10pm and you know where we saw dogs for a while??

out side the fucken loos. tho it was a short while it was bad enough to see.

Seriously, Im sick of the bullshit we have to go through to have a good time. At the end of the day yes I understand its for my own safety etc etc but do they have to turn sydney into the police state?? and the amount of intimidating cops do on kids who are just out for a good time not kill someone, or run someone over or shoot someone, or start fights do I have to go on.

The carr government forgets we are tax payers AND VOTERS TOO. it doesnt sit well with the train problems, state of our hospitals and schools either. How many party people use our public transport or attend school/uni/tafe etc. Alot!

And its not the dance community thats being target we went to coogee one saturday night a few weeks ago and they had dogs going through the bars down there as well. And I know its not the only place to see them either.

At the end of the day I know the cops are just doing their job, its the state government and their policies.

I was at a certain event at Olympic park on the weekend, and along with many other people, enjoyed the frustration of the dogs. As a dog was walking past me, I made eye contact with the woman leading it, and she moved straight over to me. I had 3 pills in my possession, but either the dog couldn't smell them, or she didn't bother to stop me. I'm generally known among my friends as a bad liar, and am sure I must've looked like a jittery ghost. I didn't falter in my walking, and I did look down at the dog, pretending to be curious. So one way or another, its pretty obvious the dog couldn't smell the pills.
What I'm wondering is whether this can be attributed to a) the amount of pills I had, hence the smell wasn't concentrated enough, b) where they were on my body or c) for some reason, these pills didn't emit the scent the dogs are trained to find.

Another question, I heard from a semi-reliable friend that one of his mates got sniffed by a dog, and asked to come aside by the police. Apparently, when they asked him to come aside, he dummied with one hand and pointed "over there?" whilst dacking his pills with the other. The police searched his pockets and person, and only removed his shoes and socks. What suspicion or evidence do the police need to search further than outer clothing? Can they do any form of strip-searching? Does this mean as long as you can remain in a visibly calm state of mind when they search you, you and your dacked goods will be safe?

I reckon its about time we start paying friends who aren't interested in the event, to come to these events, hang around in front of us, and when dogs come past, bolt the other direction ;) Give the cops a bit of a chase, totally in vain! Might save your arse too :)

Yeah, I feel for you guys. Move intersate - come and join the madness over here in Perth where there are a lot less hassles.

=D

melancholic, your semi-reliable friend is very reliable
that dude is my mate & he pulled a swifty on the cops the best one... sooo lucky

and its a bad idea to get anyone to do a runner on the cops
we saw 8 of them beat the shit out of the guy who did a runner
they dropped the knee on his head about 3 times, twisted his arm damn near off & layed in a few kicks to the ribs

his face was all bloodied up & such... never seen police brutality like that before :(

^It's simple... don't run from the police, it's just not worth it. They will treat you roughly because you have shown them you can be dangerous and don't respect them or what they are doing.

i got to the event at sports ground as it opened, dogs and cops hadn't arrived... security was very friendly and didn't even bother to check my pockets..

speaking to people during the night and aftwards though it seems it was a completly different story once the cops arrived. spoke to two pple who got caught.. one was let off 'cause he had his stuff hidden well and they didn't bother strip searching him... another person wasn't so lucky and was given a court notice after a very small amount of stuff was found in his wallet.

it's all just a publicity stunt with the election coming up this year.. all they need is the numbers... each week there is an article in the paper simply stating the numbers arrested ect. the amount of police at subbies a few weeks back was ridiculous.. and every dog had a camera follwing it. and they wonder why there arn't enough police available at incidents like the redfern riot the other night.

Mmm, it'd be fun in court when you're pressing charges of brutality against them to explain you only ran because you have a fear of dogs! Especially if you did nothing else wrong but run!

Fuck, are you serious about that brutality? Isn't that illegal?! I guess doing a fake run wouldn't be such a good idea then, heh :/
