News: Police fear they are losing drug battle

First of all, I'm typing this because I can't find it online, sorry for any mistakes. Secondly, sorry if it doesn't belong here, seemed Australian to me and it's not really a bust so...

Police say the wheels have fallen off a Federal $20 million program to fight the booming amphetamine trade in Australia amid a massive surge in drug labs run by outlaw bikie clubs and other crime groups.

Secret NSW and Victorian police force briefings, obtained by The Age newspaper, reveal that senior police in both states believe Australia's amphetamine drug-busting program has fallen in disarray.

The newspaper also has confidential police figures from State forces across the nation that estimate that 756 drug labs will be detected this year, almost double the number found only three years ago.

That rise, while partly attributable to increased detection, mainly relates to more drug production, senior police say.

Feds and state police are lossing the battle.
The funniest part about VIC police losing the battle is they have to steal seized mephedrone to resell to the black market for toptoptop dollar just to get more resources.

What is the rate of seized drugs. 1%?

And also if someone started cutting corners and impiorting ice from SE asia and selling it for shit cheap, they would probably end up dead by the bikies/gangs and/or police for undercutting
 
It makes sense considering the drought in MDMA, that alot of people will be switching over to speed. These labs would just be catering to increased demand.

However, I can't really comment on the high price of ice, though with the high price tag does come with some high purity. It may be that one group (aka bikies) controls the market and can therefore charge whatever they want.

And I don't think anyone mentioned reselling, though I guess with corrupt cops that's always a possibility, though I doubt the government would see any of that money.

Another battle lost in the war on drugs but atleast they're recognizing their failure for a change. When will Aus take a page out of book and focus more on harm minimalization rather than keep fighting this up hill battle they keep persueing.

Plus its easy for pollies to get quick votes being anti drug etc..

People need to realise only WE can change things. Waiting on the gov to do something is just gonna get you killed...

Without discussing prices too specifically, it is true that 'ice' prices are currently through the roof but in my experience the price of 'speed', particularly 'ketone' is as low as it has been in as long as I have been using amphetamines with any degree of regularity.

Also, while it is definately true that the initial price spike for 'ice' coincided with a spike in quality, prices haven't reduced much, if at all, and there is plenty of sub par 'ice' doing the rounds now.

It is funny that it is supposed to be news they are losing the war on drugs, when were they ever winning?
 
they are far away from winning in the meth and cannbis production!! and yes as stated our prices are terrible, especially meth, our cannabis is rather nice tho :)
i think the government are killing us in the mdma section, i know there is a shortage of the precursors yadayada, but still, that whole heap that was siezed back in 08 that is partly the goverments fault, so they won that one, temporarily
 
Oh thank god for that. I was showing signs of fatigue, I don't know how long I was going to be able to put up a fight. Any longer at this war and I may have gone clean. ;)

To be honest, in Perth, no matter who ya know, your lookin at a 50/50 chance of gettin some decent rock apposed to shit/average, unfortunately....
 
yerr, sadly when i say decent i mean decent (Still not worth what ya payin)... unless you know a huge supplier very well you never gonna get the good shit... no wonder so many gear heads in WA are cookin their own shit..
