Hehe, from a harm-reduction point of view I don't particularly like Rikodeine though: the sheer amount of sorbitol is amazingly uncomfortable (and cannot be good for you long term, I assume). Much prefer a high-dose extraction (basified and filtered after a very careful CWE) of Codeine. *sigh*

Now, it's so damned expensive it's not worth the trouble. Bloody government.
 
I might give it a try and report back sometime this week. The only issue I see is that it's the severe gas that it seems to cause, coupled with the constipation that the Dihydrocodeine already causes: it feels like you're going to explode (or vomit).

I'll give a low dose a shot, see how we go. I have been working on an extraction for the DHC anyway (and found references that back up my current theory), so I may be able to avoid it altogether :)
 
^not an easy one no doubt, but would be great as dihydrocodeine has low oral bioavailability

i'm not too annoyed any more because i only do 20 pills at a time, and a 40 pack is fine. codeine has subsequently doubled in price,,, but is still cost effective i think. for some reason its like i'm limited in the range of 140-160mg of codeine that i get a high from. the only difference i get having larger doses is a lightly longer duration..

200ml of rikodeine(stubborn dry cough) has less euphoria for me, but a lot stronger numb opiate body feeling. how long does it last? i know it takes ages to work, but have always used it at night and gone to sleep after a while. i'm going to have a bottle tomorrow day...

Buprenorphine, its cheap and legal if you see an addiction specialist. You can also have whatever dose you want daily for the same price.

The aim is to get you clean but if you find it helps control your bipolar most of them will let you stay on it for a few years.

Or use a 2xmicrofibre sunglasses bag, you can squeeze it with both hands, filters in under a minute and the solution is crystal clear

a small dose of codeine should help plug it up as well, according to the anecdotal reports i've read among a good amount of blers

There seems to be some inconsistencies with pharmacies recording your details if you purchase codeine. so far two pharmacies I've been too have done this, whilst the other two didn't. i asked one of the pharmacies about the recording system and she said the records are only kept at the pharmacy but she thinks that eventually it could be a victoria wide thing like pseudo watch.

On another interesting note:
The nurofen packs are now 30 tablets instead of 24. But today I went to get some panafen (exact same ingredients as nurofen but cheaper) and they only gave me a small pack. Also, most pharmacies I have visited don't stock generic versions of nurofen, its either nurofen or nothing. The main thing that bothers me about this is that nurofen is really gluggy when you do a cold water extraction. does anyone else notice this?
 
Funny that. I went to the chemist today and bought sum panafen plus. had 30 in it. The lady asked me have i used this before and i replied yes. She turned to the doctor or whoever it was and said he has used em before. That was it really. This was in NSW tho. It would be a silly thing if they recorded peoples details. There are alot of people constantly using this for pain relief and would be annoying if u would be refused sale because u have been purchasing too much.
 
Both nurofen and panafen have 24 and 30 packs out, I imagine once all the 24 packs are done 30 will become standard. There is a chain of pharmacies around my area where 2 refuse to sell more than 15 panafen and they charge heaps.

I have never used N+ because I have read endless reports of their uselessness. Not to mention the fact they are more expensive than other brands. Don't really see the advantage in using them.
 
I have been to about 6 different chemists since they changed the scheduling and I have never been asked for details. All they generally ask is if you've taken it before and then you're out of there.
 
Yeah only one place has recorded my details out of the 10 odd pharmacies I frequent. I really don't think thats going to take off, it just makes everything such a hassle and codeine gets bought a hell of a lot more than pseudo ever did.
 
I just found a problem with the new system.

I just had a medical procedure done and went to the chemist to buy some Panadeine for legitimate pain relief. They had a minimum on EFTPOS of the usual amount but they only had packs of 24 tablets which were a few dollars under the double figures.

I had no cash and only card. They would not let me buy 2 x 24 packs and did not stock the 40 packs. Therefore I had to leave empty handed in a considerable amount of pain.
