NEWS: Greens councillor pleads guilty to cannabis charges

A SYDNEY Greens councillor has pleaded guilty to three cannabis charges, but has denied supplying the drug.

Leichhardt councillor Alan Cinis, who also is a television actor, appeared in Balmain Local Court today.

The 50-year-old pleaded guilty to possessing a prohibited plant, cultivating a prohibited plant and possessing a prohibited drug last month.

But he denied supplying a prohibited drug.

The matter will return to the same court on February 2.
