I'd forgotten all about this article. One of the best I've seen on here.

Now that the liberal government (and thus christopher pyne) is gone, is there any change in what to expect of the governments attitudes towards pill testing and other HM initiatives?

Every drug has it's repercussions on the body, pill testing just allows us to make informed decisions in order for us to minimise the possible damage by telling us the dosage and possible adulterants in the pills. With all these Piperazine pills around, you want to know what you are taking so that you don't end up with the terrible side effects.

A great article though, i'm glad I read it. Just wondering, how is the replacement of Pyne in the labour gov?

There is no safe way, no safe level, and no safe place to take illicit drugs.

The thing that really burns me is politicians telling that i cant do drugs because they may harm ME. In my spare time i also race motorcycles, surf and skydive, acitvities which also may harm and potentially kill me. Why can i legally do all of these things and not drugs? Someone please tell me what the difference is?

Great article, thanks for the bump; I missed it the first time around too. Good Job Dr Caldicott! I sincerely hope you stay active in your field and promoting your views in a public manner. Ignorance in these matters is so much more dangerous than the drugs themselves.
