$2million cannabis seized in Sydney

A cannabis haul, worth an estimated $2 million, has been discovered by police during a morning raid on a house in south-west Sydney.

Acting on an anonymous tip off, Ashfield police raided a house in Canterbury at 9.20am and discovered 850 plants in an extensive hydroponic set up.

Two people are assisting police with inquiries.

i always wonder who these anonymous tip offs are, disgruntled partners, nosy neighbours.
i know that the water/electricity companies also report 'excessive' or 'out of place' usage to police.

I wonder if that "850 Plants" are actually clones, I mean it could be some kind of "Sea of Green" method, and I read somewhere that the NSW police put plant value somewhere around $2000 per seed, seedlings,and plant?

Even if they were not fully matured, just small seedlings/clones and $2000 x 850 plants is $1,700,000?

I think it's just a small set up because the police said a "house"? I mean 850 plants in a house? I think clones/Sea of green system sounds more realistic.... and the media made it sound big as usual by saying "extensive hydroponic set up"

Poor fellow, he's fucked....

It was actually pretty funny, on the news they said that there were plants in every room of the house as well as the roof cavity, that the stove had been put in the backyard to make more room.

Apparently the only sign that someone even lived there at least some of the time was a double bed in one of the rooms, there weren't any clothes or other personal items in the place. They showed some of the plants, they were at different stages of maturity but there were a more than a few plant between 2-5 feet tall.

Poor fellow indeed.
