Wanting advice on quitting meth
People Places Things.
I cannot emphasize getting away from people whom use meth enough. There's no way you can quit meth if you are surrounded by people who use the stuff. Meth is such a powerful drug, that it is quite difficult to say, "no thanks" to it when it's always around you. Do whatever you can to isolate yourself from these old "using friends", whether that means actually moving (assuming you have a roof over your head. If not, then there are plenty of homeless resources for treatment options, with a higher number or lower depending on the state you live in, message me if you need help with any of them.)
For me, it took going to jail for 6 months. I was shooting meth for about 7 months, and I went insane. It took me turning borderline psychotic due to compulsive methamphetamine usage, along with the sleep deprivation associated with it, to think of meth as absolutely horrific and disgusting. The people I was associating with, along with the sever effects mentally and physically it had on me, has absolutely turned me away from the notion of using meth.
However, I am still an addict, and I still feel a pull towards other drugs. However, I NEED to stay sober, and I am here if you need to talk or need advice/support.
Love, stay sober
