Hi all, I have just joined this forum as there seems to be lots of knowledgeable people when it comes to drug use and addiction.
Can someone please let me know where is the best place to post my story of dealing with and trying to help a family member who (I assume) is addicted to ice?
Briefly, the person is a single mum and has 2 young kids. Things have really escalated in the last 48 hours involving obsession with mites and bugs coming out her and her kids skin, to the point where there is a skip bin out the front of the house and all clothing, sheets, bedding, kids toys etc. have been removed from the house. I went to the house tonight and was so shocked to find all of this.
Being her nephew, I am really worried about her and the kids health. I am hoping that she is just hallucinating, but after seeing the state of the house with everything outside, I am concerned that it is even deeper than that.
Any advice on how to approach this situation is much appreciated.
I am in Australia by the way, and have tried calling the Ice Help Line only to be told that the line is only designed for addicts dealing with withdrawals and such! What a joke.
Cheers
