Newbie on subs about to transition to methadone

Hi there-I'm glad to join here have known about since high school which is like 13 yrs.?! Lol
Any way I'm 6+yrs into Heroin and I'm trying to function but still I dabble here and there. On the recreational aspect though I'm worried if I do go on methadone my dabbling days are over? ! Any thoughts or suggestions?

Do NOTTT , I Repeat DO NOT chose Methadone , before you know it you will be in a clinic (basically probation)
Rules guidelines blah blah blah
If you are late they dont dose you , it completely takes over your life no time or energy to do anything...
