Hi y'all

New forum user from Perth, Western Australia

Tried most drugs over the past 10 years, but for the past few been a sporadic meth user. Joined to get more info on safe injecting procedures and increase my knowledge in general.

yo yo yo good to see another west aussie on here!I'm from bunbury (200km from perth) and tbh im over meth for what you pay and what you get for it is not worth it -_- im tryin to give up meth yet im still smoking and when its free and right in front of you its really hard not to have a few puffs.......I've gone back to molly tho cost like half as much as meth the high is 100 times better, ya not layin in bed til the suns up n the birds are cherping every time you use and best of all no comdown!But yer the reason i started usin meth in the first place was cos i couldnt get any mdma but thats not the case anymore :p

Good luck on giving it up! I strongly advise trying to avoid environmental cues/triggers, as well as other users. Sometimes to get the best odds of successful quitting, one would move far away from any environment you've already started using in, or have any associations made whatsoever to drugs. This way, there are less triggers for the person as they are trying to quit. :)

Welcome to Bluelight! I'm glad to have you here. :)

There is a lot of information about safe injection procedure in Other Drugs. As well, you can always PM me if you have any questions. I have done a lot of IV injections over time and have gotten quite a good technique down. If you're new to IV drug use, there is a lot of information I'd suggest you start reading (I'll include a link), and my overall advice is it's best to have a friend help you out who is more experienced - one that you can trust.

Before I get to the links, I wanted to share the idea that Hep C can be transmitted by sharing injection supplies OTHER than needles - this can be something a lot of IV drug users may not totally be aware of. So when you are with other injecting drug users, please do not share any works.

Here is a great first step for any injecting drug user.

Thanks everyone for the info.

Ive been injecting for two years but always with assistance and ALWAYS safe and clean. We do all preparations beforehand with clean equipment. My gf who I inject with... We are both intelligent professional women, which I guess is why I've read so much about it and I guess what lead me here. I've been practicing injecting myself the past weeks just with sterile water but I'm failing miserably. I know the theory behind it but just can't get it right. The whole using one hand to operate the needle is getting me... So any tips on that I'd love. Otherwise I'll keep practicing and sticking to long sleeves :P

Junkie it sucks being in WA because supply isn't regular, quality is debateble and lacks consistency and cost is stupid... But those are the breaks. Never heard anyone call MDMA Molly but I'm wondering if you mean ecstasy? I have used pills every year since I was 18 but it has little effect on me. As a teenager I'd drop two and pray for a feeling but I'd just go to bed when nothing happened. This fucking brain of mine has some problems. Which is why I stick with meth. Tried and true
 
safe injection is the only way to go-for the sake of HARM REDUCTION-and I believe this too,I do not recommend or advocate IV use. What I do is my issue and I am working on it....check your PM box
MDMA is pure MDMA-ideally. here is a link to the thread that will help you learn about that. Molly/mollie are just different names for X(also names differ depending on where you are) like "nugs" for weed,"blow" for coke,"ice" for crystal meth ect...i am a fan of MDMA and I always have it tested to make sure it is pure but I am no expert. here is the link: Ecstasy Discussion.

I had to do it one handed, when I broke both bones in my writing arm, as well, I even was smoking gravity bongs all with one hand when my friend taught me how. =D

OK so here's what you're going to do...

Put your thumb and pinkie finger together, your ring finger next to it. These three fingers will hold it still and steady. The other two, ring finger and index finger, will pull the plunger back, and then push it in.

It can take a long time to get a good hold on it, it seemed impossible to me at first but I finally got it. :)
