NEWBIE couldn't edit last one. benzos and anti inflammatory steroids (no swim)

Hi guys, new poster here, semi-long time drug user, although these days only regularly use cannabis.
Anyway, I finish my last a2 exam on thursday, and I am going to a large party end of school in a field that someone has rented on saturday.
I have pretty bad hayfever, and this massively exacerbated by fields, and parks and just about any non-urban location.
My doctor has prescribed me a number of drugs including, fexofenadine, promethazine(both antihistamines), and what i'm most concerned about CORTICOSTSTEROIDS.
Im only currently taking fexofenadine as the promethazine makes me feel groggy in the morning (not ideal when I need to revise first thing) and the steroids make me sleep pretty restlessly. However, the steroids are the only thing that really help my hayfever out, and I doesn't wish to be a snivelling devils dick red eyed person around the girl I'm is seeing. So once My exam on thursday is over I plan to start taking these steroids once again, on the day of the party I'm is planning on smoking lots of weed and taking a couple of xanax. I may have ONE beer if I feels up to it.
My question is, are there any fears for me to have with combining xanax with any of the above mentioned prescribed drugs. I will probably start taking promethazine as well to help as much as possible.
Any helpful responses are appreciated, and I hope i posted in the right section.

If you look up these in an online interaction checker it will warn you that xanax and corticosteroids (not sure which you take so I used prednisone) have an interaction. It says the steriod will reduce the effects of xanax. I have taken both and was just fine. Everyone is different though. I think if it was me, I would try them both together before the party to make sure I was ok before doing it in front of people.
 
flyhigh does HL stand for High levels? as in as long as i don't does too high i should be fine? and thanks a lot somachu I will try that for sure. I also have been prescribed prednisolone... did you miss the L? or is it slightly different?

HL > OD means they moved it from healthy living to other drugs. You are in no danger from combining corticosteroids with xanax. The steroids, as you seem to be finding out, may worsen anxiety, restlessness and insomnia. Promethazine plus benzos can increase sedation. Booze and benzos really shouldnt be combined.
 
Thanks a lot kitty. Sorry I put it in the wrong place, I should be fine though but probably won't drink at all. and if i do will be only a single beer. One final question, do you think potentially the anxiety from the corticosteroids and the anti-anxiety effects of the xanax might cancel each other out? Also for a relatively new benzo user, is it safe to redose after it wears off, if i say had 3mgs? Or due to its half life is it better I just take a single dose and save the other ones i have left. Thanks
 
It really depends on the dose of both. Usually lower dosed steroids wont cause as much anxiety and should be able to be managed with xanax. Xanax is typically dosed several times a day as its duration is around 4-6 hours. You are planning on taking 3mgs all at once?
 
prescribed 6x cortosteroids a day in a single dose and probably was going to take 1 x 2mg bar. and then a either another half a bar or, another 2mg bar later on.
