I'm in my 30's and have just discovered the joys of Hydrocodone. My wife had some left over from
when she had a kidney infection and I decided to take one one night to see if it would help
me sleep better. Although that was not the intended result, I still found it pleasurable
to take a few each night.

Long story short, I needing some advice from someone with more experience than me
on managing this stuff.

as with most opiates, you will build up a tolerance quickly to them. The best thing to do, in my opinion, is regulate the dosage and space them out to every other day if not less often. Opiates are ADDICTIVE. I recently had a severe burn and was prescribed oxycodone 5 mg. At the beginning of my first week of recovery I could take one and it would kill the pain, but two would nearly make me throw up. By the end of that week I was up to taking four at a time with nearly no nausea and two pills worth of that painkiller sensation. Also, do not become reliant on them to go to sleep every night or it could become difficult to sleep without them. Pain pills are fun, just keep it in moderation.
