New York has become the 36th US state to ban what is being called a mounting drug menace.

The legislation came as officials across the US clamp down on synthetic marijuana, now ranked as the most popular narcotic among teenagers after cannabis itself.

The cheaper and easily attainable drug, which is packaged under various names including "Herbal Incense", "Spice", or "Spike", has been blamed for a sharp increase in hospital cases.

That shit is so 2010. That and it's really not too great. It's like being drunk/bud-stoned physically without any mental distortion, at least IME. And severe anxiety.
