Hi, Ive been reading the forum for years, finally signed up. I'm 62, BiPolar, have fibro, RA, osteoarthritis, diabetes, degen disk, several bulging disks.
I've been on pain meds for 13 years, just about everything they could throw at me.
10 years ago I had Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome, which dr's didn't detect for 4 months. I was in & out of the ICU several times, my temp went up to 109. They really didn't expect me to live. I believe a lot of the problems I have now, like high BP, are related to the high fevers. Has anyone else here experienced NMS? If so, how are you now?
