Hello. New here to posting although I have searched and read many posts on here for many years. I am fairly naive when it comes to drugs.
Recently I dabbled in the world of demerol and wow was this ever a mistake. I failed to do my research and didn't listen to their the voice in my head telling me I was being an idiot.
I was insnufflating crushed 50mg tablets 2 or 3 at a time every few hours I was loving it and feeling great. Finally I listened to the little voice in my head did some research and stopped after about three weeks of this.
But it was too late. I began to notice the effects of normeperidine toxicity. My heart raced I was suffering from panic attacks and eventually a myoclonic seizure. Thankfully a friend of mine a paramedic was with me and I received diazepam and some respiratory therapy when admitted into the hospital. 2 days of IV fluids and a catheter and thankfully I recovered.
So in short don't mess with demerol. It's not worth it not a large enough reward for the risks.
