New tools for smoking BHO and similar?

What is the current "state of the art" in smoking BHO and similar extracts?

A few years ago, you put it ontop of a bowl, or in a joint, or did hot knives or some similar variant - and that's it.

However, I get the impression that there are now tools specifically made for smoking these semi-liquid extracts (coming out of the areas where it's permitted for medical use, and such extracts are common and of reliable quality) which work better. All I've been able to come up with searching the forums is the old techniques.

What are these new things, and how do they work?

Thanks

Thanks! That's what I was talking about exactly.

Gotta get me on'a those.

You can you tube the different types and see them in action. That can help you decide what one is best for you.

Look up kettle curves, skillets and Ti nails as they're the 3 predominant ways of smoking oils that I've seen in the last few years.

yup, in addition to these you could also look up health stones and the eclipse vap, which is pretty much a small glass vial you can put concentrates in that sits in place of a bowl on a bong and you heat it up with a torch.

Seems like titanium nails and high end pens are the "hottest" thing nowadays to own, usually in intiricate (and expensive) bong attachments or designer vape manufacturers for pens. Some people get ridiculous with it and have bongs with several different attachments to their $400 RooR bongs which altogether run up close to a thousand bucks. I have a basic wax bubbler with a glass wand you heat up that ran $60 bucks and probably hits close to those fancy jobs though, you dont really need all that fancy stuff to enjoy your wax ultimately.

The general idea is you heat the nail (or other surface) with a torch until it becomes red hot and dab a very small amount of butane extracted wax onto it to vaporize it, then inhale that vapor. Butane extracted wax will require a separate google, but in older terminology basically its a thicker honey oil meant to be smoked by itself. It tastes great and is often superior in potency to other hashish type concentrations, and also is more expensive. Like $35-50 a gram expensive.

You know what will never go out of style. Tasty buds and hash.

Vape pens and vaporizors in general do not give me a lasting high, though they are easier on the lungs.
