New to Xanax

As the title says I have tried other benzo type drugs but never this one, with valium I can normally take anything from 50+mgs on top of normally 750mg Lyrica now my question is how much Xanax is it safe to take on top of 750mg of Lyrica I have read that it can be misleading in that it is stronger than some people make out I normally use 4mg suboxone recreationally now and again to relax. So how much Xanax is a starting point and can I re-dose so say try .5mg then if it feels okay add another .5mg or is it easier to just try the 1mg.

50 mg Valium is roughly equivalent to 2.5 mg Xanax so you could go off that, although Xanax hits harder but lasts shorter!

Btw, you've probably heard this before. Benzos are the devil in disguise.

Yes thats why I tend to only take benzos now and again, I had read that the equivalent was 10mg valium to 0.5mg xanax but also like you said xanax hits harder I said 50+ as one day 60/70mg valium will have me nodding in and out of sleep with the lyrica and the next day 150mg does nothing. Other days I will try the same lyrica and for people who say it is not an addictive drug it is for me I get 900mg daily but I can take 400mg+ of Dihydrocodeine again I tend to have days off so as not to get to into it too much and try to keep it recreational rather than an addiction. I just wanted to get some advice from here before jumping in and taking too much I may try 1.5mg for my first time as the old saying you can always take more.

I would start with 1mg of Xanax,wait till it kicks in,and use another 1mg if needed later.

I like benzos and i certainly love Xanax,but i dont consider it very recreational(but thats just my opinion).I used(and still do sometimes) to abuse benzos like flunitrazepam all day long cause it was giving me a "social" high,making me talk a lot,confidence etc.
With Xanax,i usually stay at home and chill out,mostly at nighttime.It works wonders with anxiety and insomnia,provides that nice "carefree" benzo feeling but also "slows you down" some sort,so i wouldnt take it before a crazy night out or while hanging out with friends etc..
 
Start with 1.5-2mg. I know plenty of people who have never taken a benzo that have felt nothing on 1mg. Yes, it is a highly potent benzodiazepine but if you can take that much Diazepam then 1.5-2mg should be a good starting point.
 
You sound experienced enough to go for the 1mg ,I used to take lorazepam and 2mg loraz = 1mg xanax but to me they feel very different to me but I was burnt out on loraz, I get more sleepy with xanax taken with clonzepam.

If you are remotely worried start at 0.5mg but if u can pop 50mg of legit diazepam then 1mg will not impress you.

Some don't get sleepy on xanax ,I get a proper nod on so there is always a stim floating around so I can stay chilled and awake.
 
^^For me,even 1mg of Xanax might be "stronger"(or more noticeable at least) that 50mgs of diazepam.

Somewhere back in time when my benzo tolerance was skyrocketing,i could easily pop 5-6 10mg diazepam pills and literally feel nothing,but even half of a Xanax bar(1mg) would be "felt" in a mild and mellow kind of way.

Then again,i was usually mixing those with other benzos as well,so maybe the above was a result of Xanax mixing so well with other pills...
 
750mg of lyrica? Gatdayum man. Is that recreational? I took lyrica a few years ago for a nerve injury for a car accident, and i was prescribed 75mg x2 day. I remember feeling a bit drunk since it works on gaba receptors..but I took it recently and felt zonked out, and not in a good way, and not like a benzo.

Also, be careful with xanax. The thing with xanax is, you don't realize how fucked up you are when you are on it...I could tell you stories but I don't wanna type for hours. Start low, don't take more than a mg. If you feel that's too weak, wait 90 minutes and take another half a mg. Xanax is strong, and it hits you a bit more suddenly than it does with other benzos. You feel sober one minute, and it creeps up on you...so if you re-dose too quickly, it will all creep up and smack you at once and you will do shit you won't remember when you black out. Posing a danger to yourself and others, even unintentionally...
 
From my experience:
I'm 130 pounds. I started with half a bar, i don't recommend going higher than 3mg. 4 at the MAX.
Obviously you're going to hear a lot of people talk about how it shouldn't be mixed with anything.
BUT
Xanax + weed is a fantastic combo. The Xanax will calm you down and definitely enhance the high
Xanax + alcohol can definitely be dangerous
Half a bar + 1 beer feels like 1 bar
1 bar + 2-3 drinks feels like 2 bars
Although it's dangerous, a great way to store your amount of bars. But it will definitely make the high a lot more obvious and make you more stupid. REALLY STUPID, Xanax and alcohol is crazy, definitely be careful, because its way easier to chug liquor with Xanax in your system. You'll find yourself clearing 10 shots like no big deal. You'll be acting dumb, slurring words. Very hard to hide in control, but amazing body high!
I've found Xanax alone to be mostly a body high, in smaller doses it's a great drug to relax you.

THERES AN OBVIOUS CATCH:
Your memory will most likely be zapped
I see a lot of people at parties bared out but honestly it's not something to do a lot because it really does zap your memory. I had a friend lose his virginity while high on Xanax, I feel horrible for him.
THATS ANOTHER THING:
you will do stupid stuff in high doses, you might not make rational decisions. Honestly don't put your self in a position that will cause harm to you or others. Because it is very hard to control yourself and think twice.
Honestly haven't heard anything better about snorting. Just pop it or let it dissolve under your tongue.
 
Xanax has just never agreed with me. I can take 1mg and not feel anything, or I can take 2mg, and I'm passed out before I know what hit me.

I much prefer Valium out of any of the benzo's I've tried.
