I have a couple 25 mcg gel patches. I only want to get enough in me to be like taking a couple percs. What would be the best way? I don't want to get blown away, just an easy buzz. Can put the patch on for a few minutes and then remove? Or smoking? is that going to be to strong? Not to much of a tolerance, but am used to opiates.

i would wear one patch for 72 hours i think if you put it on for a few minuets then take it off it might lose some of the drug while it sits around waiting to be put on again

25 mcg is very strong if all the want is buzz like a few oxy. I'd suggest getting rid of them, it's really hard to dose the gel ones, if it were the matrix I'd suggest cutting it into 16ths and using them bucally or into quarters, or 8th to wear. Wearing them takes a good few hours for it to kick in and by that time it may be too late and you could get very, very poorly.

^This. Using fentanyl, especially with a small opiate tolerance, can get ugly quickly. If you put the patch on, then 12 hours it starts kicking in fully and it gets to be too much, simply taking th epatch off won't instantly stop the absorbtion. There will be a substantial amount of fent built up in your tissue that hasn't reached the blood stream yet. This is how many people overdose.

The safest thing to do would be to trade them for something you are more accustomed to like some oxy or something. Otherwise, if you are dead-set on using them, cut the patch into 12-16 pieces and use one at a time, buccally. (In your cheek) This way you'll get the effects much quicker and cna take the piece out if it proves to be too much. Alternatively, if one piece isn't enough, this method allows you to titrate your dose piece by piece until you are at where you want to be.

Fent is dangerous, man. Tread VERY carefully.

He said he had the gel patches so cutting is impossible that's why I told him to get rid. I'm a pain patient and was prescribed 75mcg patches, started on 25 mcg as I already had a tolerance. But if his tolerance is pretty low what's the point in jacking it up so so high when the fentanyl isn't really euphoric anyways.

It's not worth it. Stick with the percs, or even vicodin given your tolerance. Fentanyl is NOT something you mess with, even with a tolerance built up unless it's prescribed.

^ this. You're absolutely right. And oh wow are the withdrawals harsh, my pharmacy haven't had my patches in on a few occasions so had to deal with withdrawal AND chronic pain too. Not nice. My pharmacy is retarded they knew I needed 5 patches every 10 days but never had them in when I was due a refill. Idiots

Use caution when abusing this potent opioid. ( Its up to 100 times more powerful than morphine)

A buddy of mine with a moderate heroin tolerance put a 75mcg patch on in the evening and woke up in the morning crawling to the washroom vomiting.

If you don't have high opioid tolerance dont f uck with fentanyl.

I'm still amazed that such a strong opiate is starting to become so easily available. Supplying fent to harm reduction naive drugs users is comparable to supplying cluster bomb grenandes at a dementia clinic.

With fent NEVER deviate from the prescribed amount stated by a medical professional.

A215M30 and others got it right. Unless you've got a Masters of Pharmacy degree or are doing a self surgery or something you shouldn't be fucking with pain medsintended for people with cancer.

^ yup. My dr even warned me about the transfer from your skin to other people, I.e. My little boy, so I always made sure my patch was covered and washed the area as soon as I took it off. I don't know if he was being over cautious or not be there was no way was I risking any rubbing off on to my boy when he came for cuddles.
