Hi there, I've found myself many of times coming to this site from googling questions about Oxycotin and Oxycodone. I finally decided to create an account and ask a few specific questions. I appreciate anyone's input and thank you in advance for taking the time to respond.

Little bit about myself, I'm a 100% Disabled Vet (and part of the WWP Alumni), having served multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. My injury(s) were sustained off a mountain in Afghan, explosive sent me rolling down the mountain and at the end of my journey I free fell about 20 feet. Lucky to be alive. I've been on pain meds for almost 5 years now. My pain doc is pretty awesome in taking care of me. Currently he has me on 15mg of Oxycodone (6 a day) and 40mg of Oxycotin (2 a day). I remember when this all first started I only needed 10mg of Hydro a few times a day and that was enough.

I feel like I'm just going up and up with no real relief anymore. I imagine its because of my tolerance to the Opiates. I would be lying if I didn't say I miss the "high" it gives. But I've been fine not having that anymore as long as the pain is tolerable.. but lately I'm finding myself not getting any relief anymore. I haven't been "high" off of it for almost a year now but the pain management at least still worked. But now, not so much. And it's really starting to suck. :( So my questions are:

Should I request to go up again? Would that even help? I'm worried that maybe I'm getting to a point where its TOO high of a dose now.
Should I try a different ROA? I've always just taken them as directed (orally). From everything I've read though, oral is the best route anyway.
Should I try a different type of medication? I've tried Hydromorphone once but that did absolutely nothing. I did have it in the hospital via IV which was unbelievable but orally it sucks. I've also tried Tramadol, Lyrica, every muscle relaxer on the planet, and probably a handful of others I can't remember. Oxy always seemed to work the best for me.

Thanks again for reading and if you happen to respond.
