Hello everyone! I'm very happy to have found this site. There is so much good information on here. I'm not a recreational drug user besides alcohol occasionally and marijuana. My problem is I have some addiction problems, most of them being pills prescribed by doctors. I have anxiety and ADHD which is an odd combination because if I take benzos, I can't focus even more. If I take stimulants, I'm focused and productive but soooo easy to panic. I have gotten addicted to both medications, xanax being the worst. I started mixing alcohol with xanny bars and I'm sure you all know how scary that can be. I lost about a year of my life because I straight up can't remember what the hell I did, where I went, who I was with. I had a tough time in grade school, always the dork, always made fun of, cheerleaders main target.
Any who, I got over all that, got married, had kids. I started having bad stomach pains after my second child and got prescribed norcos. Holy hell, the power of opiates. I just made a post in The Dark Side discussing what being addicted to opiates has done to my brain. Check it out and if you can related please tell me so I don't think I'm just losing my mind!
I'm so happy to talk to you all. I can't afford a psychologist and it's hard admitting to my family and friends how extremely addicted I became.
Thanks for reading ?

Hi and welcome to Bluelight Light_at_the_end. You too HealingHopefullyVA.

Welcome:). I too take Xanax (prescribed) and abused alcohol with them...oddly I remember everything though. Sadly enough even a dui (4 years ago and never drove while drunk since due to the fact that I could have caused injuries yet didn't but the tiny tap that I caused into what I hit woke me up) in which my blood alcohol was a .32 and I'm a really small woman and the benzos were in my system too (prescribed 3 mgs a day but often took more and didn't know I'd get a dui for having them in my system too)....anyway, I will check out what you wrote since I'm on the dark side forum also but for many things....one also being opiate addiction.
