New to St. John's Wort

I have a bottle here of St. John's Wort that has

St. John's Wort Extract 300mg
(leaves and flowers) (Standardized to 0.3% Hypericin)

Herb Plant with Hypericin
PLUS Tannins and Flavonoids

Is it safe to take this with a dose of Dextromethorphan (about ~60mg)? I've read that this is a very very weak MAOI but Erowid says that no known contraindications have been reported.

When I take DXM, most often my dose combo is

10mg Paroxetine (Paxil)
60mg Dextromethorphan

If I've taken St. John's Wort that day, is this combo still safe?

Well actually combining 10mg of Paxil with 60mg of DXM does make it a recreational dose for me. No dissociation, but there is an intense mental high and the music euphoria is amazing. And I think the main thing Paxil does in this instance is indirectly increase the amount of DXM in the blood by slowing it's conversion to DXO and inactive metabolites. So that is why I'm wondering.

By the way I took 300mg of St. John's Wort for the first time a couple hours ago and I feel great. I didn't think an OTC herb could have such a significant effect

Must be placebo effect, I'm not sure that's how the herb works.

Have given some friends a couple SSRI pills...they claimed they were "high"...Had to restrain my laughter.

You didn't understand my post. I explained that I combine Paxil with DXM so that I need to take much less DXM for an enjoyable experience.

And if it isn't a good idea, tell me why, or else, DON'T POST.

BTW, I'm 50% sure that St. John's Wort helps with anxiety, but I can't rule out placebo effect.

I think you weren't clear as to if you were going to take St. John's Wort, Paxil and DXM or just the St. John's Wort and DXM.

Mixing all three would be dangerous due to risk of serotonin syndrome. St. John's Wort and DXM should be fine at those doses.
