New to shooting H

I'm a long time IV user of Dilaudid and recently made a new connect for H. This is the first time I found H that I consider on par with Ds and I have been enjoying it the past few days. It is cheaper and the high lasts much longer.
My question is this, whenever I inject H my arm breaks out in a slight rash directly around the injection site. The rash is a raised areathat is white-ish in color and last about 4 or 5 minutes after the injection. It appears about a minute after the shot. It doesn't burn and the area isn't hot but it is itchy for about 30 seconds or so. After about 5 minutes it goes away completely. There is no swelling, no tenderness, etc in the area. The first time it happened I thought I had missed a little of the shot even though I had registered good blood flow and didn't exhibit any of my normal signs of missing.
Is it "normal" for this slight rash to appear at the injection site? I'm positive I'm not missing.
Thanks for any information,
LaxerFL

It's a histamine reaction from the heroin. It's pretty common. Taking an antihistamine before you shoot up might prevent it but it's nothing to worry about.
