Hey guys. I'm new to salvia and have never tried it before.. What would be a good extract for me to start on? I have done spice, marijuana, many different pills, and have recently been using shrooms Quite often.. I was thinking starting on 15x. But I want to hear your opinions! Please nobody say anything bad about salvia since I heard a lot of people say its terrifying and all that. Thanks!

this will be better off asked in psychedelic forum..

tell "swim" to ask for himself in future! haha

but anyway i guess with any new drug, do plenty of research and start small and work up :)

try 15x, two big hits held in for 30 seconds until u cant count anymore, and you'll be off in space. The experiences ranges from pure cosmic laughter to horror, your results may vary.

Remember to burn the hell out of it and hold for as long as you can remember. Use it somewhere out side, mattress, ect. You will fall over so don't stand. If your using a glass piece set it down.

Enjoy the worlds you'll visit :)

IME, 15X isn't needed especially if you've never tried it. Try with leaves first or 5X (and adjust the dosage), if you smoke it properly and that you're not naturally immune to salvia you'll get a strong effect. The more you smoke it the more you become sensitive to it.

i was under the impression that i had to use a bong/pipe with this stuff however i rolled a rizla with some 40x and smoked some just like that. took me to another place.

The first time you ever try salvia, little is likely to happen. It takes a single use for the receptors to start building in the brain stem region. Wait a few days to try it again and you'll get the full effect.

Also note that salvia has reverse tolerance, meaning that the more you do it, the stronger it gets. If you start at 15x you will eventually have to go down to 10x, etc. But that would require frequent use and most people don't do it that often.

Another piece of advice is that you can mix it with cannabis. You can either smoke the cannabis first and then do salvia, or mix them together. After the initial salvia peak, you will have weaker closed-eye visuals for up to 90 minutes that have a salvia signature. Lots of green and blue swirls. They're best viewed in a dark room.

I used to do salvia every night because for a time it was the only substance that cured my insomnia. One toke and after the peak high I was out like a light. I've since moved on to more practical sleep aids.

You already have the receptors in your brain - the reason nothing happens is because 90% of the time people don't smoke it right the first time.
Salvinorin has a really high boiling point so must be smoked quickly and with high heat to be active. Regular lighters don't work so well. And you should hold the smoke in your lungs as long as possible.

Even 5 or 10x is good for getting an idea what salvia is about. The higher extracts (20x and higher) can be hard to dose "right" without a milligram scale. It's better to low-ball it. If you overshoot a salvia dosing you will just black out, whereas if you undershoot it you'll just feel "different" for 10-20 minutes.

You should have a spotter the first few times you do salvia, it doesn't last very long, but it can be disorienting and some poeple like to get up and move.
Salvia is pretty polarizing, some people really like it, some people don't. Try it a few times in different settings. It's definitely a whole different ball game than shrooms though.
