RCs New to RC's

Hi everyone,
I have recently been introduced to the world of RC's and am finding it difficult to find out about the chemicals themselves. I find alot of these big long chemical names but they dont seem to tell you alot about what the chemical does or what its supposed to similate, the most I seem to get is either (stimulant, psychadelic, or dipressive...etc) or something along those lines.

So i was wondering if people might share past experieences with popular chemicals that they have enjoyd and what not.

I mostly prefer opiates and benzos, but i love to take a good trip here and there and definetly like to experience new things.

to research specific RC's you should read through their mega-threads.

Search for the chemical via advanced search on the top right and then read through the mega threads.

Erowid is an excellent site when it comes to information too so have a look through their 'vault'. Just google the chemical and 'erowid'.

hmmm maybe i worded my question wrong. How does one know what chemical to research when all your going off of is random numbers and letters? Unless im supposed to just figure out what they all are by trial and error? (researching)

The chemical names are not "random numbers and letters." If that's what they look like to you then you probably shouldn't be taking RC chemicals. You need to do a good bit of research (as in reading) before even considering taking any drug. Even then it can still be quite dangerous, but many people have been hurt or even died because they didn't know about what they were taking. Some RC's are relatively safe, others are extremely dangerous even in sub-milligram doses. As FlippingTop said, Erowid is a good place to start (the negative experiences you read are the ones that are most important to know about.) Also, if you do decide to use pure chemicals you should get a milligram scale.

again wrongly worded with the word "random" but yes I've been well warned and definitely dont plan on jumping into anything I havnt researched thoroughly, and definitely plan on getting a milligram scale before trying anything. I guess I was just looking for a shortcut around having to read about chemicals I wouldnt be interested in to find the ones I would be. Thnx for the concern, continue reading i shall.

Well I mean it's pretty easy to find people's favorite RC opiates, stims, psychedelics, cannabinoids, etc. with a google search. Then from there find out what you're interested in, then read up on it hardcore and see if its legal where you are. Happy hunting man

Well come on now, just because he's not well versed enough to figure it all out doesn't mean we shouldn't help him, he might make an uninformed decision and it would be our fault for keeping him from using limelight as an effective source for HR. rc drugs are pretty cool, being new and all novelty etcetera but yeah there is no real shortcut to find out what to do, besides just finding people's favorites and working down from there. you either like cannabinoids/psychs/stims or downers and there are plenty of each. Find a vendor first and see what they offer and that will limit your choices significantly, research each chemical offered (just read about it on wikipedia if you don't feel like going to erowid) and make your decision from there. I agree that if you can't figure this out or are looking for shortcuts then you are barking up the wrong tree. These drugs are not for everyone and can be extremely dangerous when in the wrong hands.

MXE is fucking nice. Definitely a good drug to try. Don't get a lot of it though (as in >1 gram). Doses are small and it's not something you wanna do often.

Read the boards (not just bluelight, as many as you can find), erowid (unfortunately it's not up to date with all the newest rcs), wikipedia (has some nice descriptions for a lot of the chemicals and nice articles on the brain and drug metabolism), pihkal and tihkal (contain descriptions of the chemicals (mostly psychadelics and emphatogens) the Shulgins discovered in their long years of research + the descriptions themselves are legally available online for free), pubmed (if you can actually get access to the articles)... Some basic understanding of pharmacology, pharmacodynamics and how the brain works is also really helpful (don't need to be a neurosurgeon, just know the roles of various neurotransmiters, differences between monoaimne releasers, reuptake inhibitors, agonists, antagonists, ..). And of course the laws in your country to avoid buying something illegal.

Oh and ignore what most vendors say on their webpages. They are just covering their asses (or being stupid, not really sure).

And if you're going to be taking rcs a mg scale is going to be really helpful (for most the cheap Chinese shit bought online is fine, but if you're going to be messing with stuff active bellow 10mg or so get a better scale and read up on liquid dosing).

There's also a site for checking the legitimacy of rc vendors, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the address, sorry. I'll post it if a mod says it's ok.

I personally love to 2cb RCS and the like:slightly Trippy vision mild euphoria but its worth investigating when random substances don't show up on the testers. What frustrates me is dealers who have no idea what they're selling! I'll occasionally say its actually 2ci or whatever it, based on an online pill reporting site but often the dealers get the shits like your undermining them. I'm just wanting to know if its smacky
or energetic half the time and all they say is how great the pill is. I dealt pills meth and weed about 5yrs ago and I treated it like any job I worked
hard albeit high but needed to be awake nights to sell anyway I researched my pills differences between ketone and meth hydrochloride when ketone was new sold benzos with the drugs just a val or something and only for the comedown wouldn't want to fuel a benzo habit to recreational pill poppers but point is my knowledge earned respect. I'm a chick and made sure my customers felt safe buying from me if you sound knowledgable and you can back up what your saying ppl in my class new i wasnt selling random shit trusted me if I taught them tricks of the trade from rotating a glass pipe bowl to plugging a pill.
It's near impossible to be 100%confident thesedays even before there was a small batch of bunks that would float around but you bought a pill it was mdma or at the least know that you've got mdxx. i guess I'm done with Shuglin, he brought drug induced happiness to many but times have changed not going to try and move pills how they are right now but wouldn't hurt to read about the new school drug inventers.

This is the sort of info that should be researched moreWIth the RCS I don't understand what they trigger or know what receptors or neurotransmitters are involved. There need,s to be more info for the supposed drugfucks who like me just want to do what i can to reduce the damage if there is any and all the drug users i know well almost all make sure they look after their mind and body but if we only have RCS keep us informed.

Crazy carman seems to know where it's at and if you love music your friends etc you look into new songs, if its anything likednb you need the latest tunes, you know your friends like family you don't need to love drugs but take an interest in learning for your own benefit. they are so complex but eg morphine strange but same sructure as heroin - random. What chemical structures do RCs have? Even Benzos sera pax is metabolised in to Valium. Sera pax is a muscle relaxing benzo not an anxiolytics like valium, Xanax or clonazepam so not sure how it converts. If you don't care about what you put into your body don't bother reading about it but the sooner you understand the nitty gritty brain mechanisms you can see how amazing the steps involved it goes over my head so i look into what tim interested-potetiating, inhibitors, etc: i apply my learned facts and move on to useful things like k reduces meth tolerance so does green tea, acetone was your meth and remove mpurities. You can learn a lot about drugs they can ruin lives. Become aware and if RCs are the way of the future provides us with harm reductions or something that can shed light on how these new chemicals w.ork

^there's a shit load of information on the older RC like the 2c-x series, there' still enough info on the new ones, like receptor affinity, what sites they bind to and how they may work. It's out there, just look for peer reviewed journals if you have access or give google scholar a search. And also read papers from people who are working in the field on psychs/stims/rcs, like David Nichols and many others.

You should read Pihkal and Tihkal by Shulgin. Both talk about RCs so it may interest you to read them.

EDIT: Do not attempt any of the synthesis instructions in either of these books unless you have advanced knowledge in organic chemistry.

if you are in to psychs and downers def. stay away from stims like MDPV, A-PVP, Mephedrone (I don't know if they even make this anymore), 4-FA, 2-fa, MPA, and ethylphenidate. You would DEFINATELY enjoy MXE if you can get it, and you would also enjoy the 2c drugs. I would stay away from the synthetic opiods because they seem to have little to no good effects and are hard to dose. Good luck bro.

How about you stay away from them and leave them to experienced user people who been fucking with RC since the first emergency scheduling. I'm not trying to be cocky but I am right now. the RC game is cut throat and raw if your "new" this late like almost thirty plus years late dude stay away not worth all the risk it can bring. RC can be just as bad or worse than other drugs you really don't seem you know there full potential most are more mind blowing than real lsd or most other drugs I've taken even in a high dose. Many RC especially 2c-x have a crazy dose curve I think that if your not already in the RC world or being brought in by a LONG LONG time RC person stay away I have seen alot of RC harm so have most people who have posted here prolly

There are not a whole lot of opiate and benzo RCs, which is probably good considering these classes of compound's addictive issues. I'm really only aware of one opiate one *ever* sold in RC history and only briefly. I think manufacturers / distributors / etc. have *real* reason to be sketched out about selling RC opiates. It's not research paper blueprints don't exist for them. But hell, the negative attention from some of the moreish RC stims like MDPV is bad enough. Prior to "bath salts" and "spice" being sold at shady gas stations and head shops, RCs were more about novel hallucinogens or entactogens, and no one in the general public knew much about the RC stuff at all. Imagine the disaster if opiate RCs were sold "bath salts" style, there would be a shitstorm...

Benzo wise, etizolam is widely sold as a "RC". I find this rather amusing in some ways, because it's not really an "RC" (it's simply non-categorized medication, even sold in pre-pressed 1mg pellets for your convenience). But this is definitely one to steer you towards in this class.

The only other benzo to be widely sold as an "RC" was phenazepam. I leave you with this story to show you why this compound gathered a horrible reputation in the RC community, and why I think a lot of the RC community shies away from other benzos as well.

RCs to "trip" on... well, there's a huge huge huge amount of them. Part of the problem with your question is I wouldn't know where to start. Many substances do share "similarities" with classic compounds, but they are *always* different. There are no compounds that are exact clones. That's part of the appeal to many.

I also don't know what you mean by "trip". MXE is popular but it's a dissociative (same class as ketamine, DXM, and PCP). 4-ACO-DMT is popular but it's a tryptamine (same class as mushrooms and LSD). The 2Cs are popular but they are a psychedelic phenethylamine (same class as mescaline, like the psychedelic tryptamines they are 5HT2A agonists, but everything reacts differently). 6-APB is popular but it is a phenethylamine / amphetamine that is molecularly close to the entactogen MDMA (if you don't like stims at all you may not like this one). Etc.

The big and dandy threads give you a lot to go on as far as dosage goes. Many RCs are more dangerous IMHO than the classic old compounds... you will need a scale.
