New to IV. Looking for advice/tips/pointers

Let me just say I was much more of a crackhead and fiend when I was smoking roxies than when I started shooting them. Other than that, I, along w 99% of people that inject drugs, very much regret the decision to turn to the needle. Its a fuckin slippery slope my friend. What makes me nervous about u is that u don't seem to have an experienced IV user there to guide you.

I can't imagine learning how to shoot on the internet. You are at least in some good ass company. Turn back now. If not, my only advice is heed the warnings n tips given to you here. You've just exponentiated the risks of your drug use. Act like it n be safe

I will try to find that 'right dose' tomorrow or sometime this weekend. When I mentioned Roxis, I do indeed mean 30mg instant release oxycodone. I can get them every now and then as well as the OP oxys but I wouldn't even bother trying to take the OPs any other way than orally. Can you elaborate a little more on a micron filter? What exactly is it and how does it work? Where/how would I obtain one?

As many have said, injecting opioids is really not worth the extremely high risks of greatly worsening your addiction, overdose, complications, destroying your veins and so on. But I believe in harm reduction, and saying to just not do it is not harm reduction. Explaining the risks and explaining how someone can do it more safely if they choose to do it anyway is.

You can learn everything about micron filters in the Micron Filter Megathread. Unfortunately, if you live in Texas I believe you will most likely have to order them on the internet. But it is really worth it.

What's wrong with that? You can get some really good advice on Bluelight, the advice/instructions here are far superior to any given to me by IV-using friends IRL.

Just a note about IVing black tar... This shit is very damaging to your veins. More so than the powder form available in certain parts of the country. I would really try to keep your IV usage of this shit down to a minimum. It destroys your veins at least three times faster than powder. I realize powder is not available to everyone, duh, but really consider getting micron filters if you want to continue using heroin IV at all. Seriously... this stuff wreaks havoc on your veins when not properly filtered. I am speaking from personal experience :<.


I also just want to say, like everyone else has been... Once you start using needles you open a door that is not easily closed. Your addiction moves beyond the substance and you become addicted to the needle itself. I wish my curiosity had not gotten the better of me. I thought I knew what I was getting myself into and I WAS WRONG. My addiction has reached an all time high due to starting to IV. It is nearly impossible to only IV for "special occasions". All I'm saying is...shit most likely will never be the same for you. But hey, who knows... maybe you are part of that small percentage that is okay only IVing a few times a month. I hope the best for you! I don't wish this "needle fever" I have on anyone. It is truly perverse.
