Greetings,
I am a degenerative disc patient...with a LOT of complications. So as not to bore you, let me just say that I'm beginning to discover that TX is a living HELL on earth for any kind of chronic pain patient!!! I moved here a few years ago from NC, and ever since I saw my first new Dr. here in TX, I have been treated like a drug-seeking and/ or drug-dealing skeeze. I have MRI's and documentation to back up the fact that I need a spinal fusion and artificial disc replacement, but cannot do so until I can switch out my current health insurance in my company's opt-in program in November.
NO Dr. I've seen will prescribe anything close to what I was routinely given in NC, and if I'm lucky enough to get even a script for Vicodin, I get 30 with no refill.
What the heck is up with Dr.'s in TX?! I feel like I'm trapped in hell and nobody will help me. Any ideas?
Thanks for listening,
Jenn
