new to Bluelight

I am an addict and just started taking suboxzone 2 months ago. i need help from anyone out there my friend is still using and she just broke the tip of a needle off in her vain. What should she do? I never used a needle so I have no idea what to tell her and I can not get any answers anywhere on the internet. I have never even blogged before so I am not even sure if anyone will see this. I will make my profile later this seems like an interesting site. But PLEASE right now can somebody tell me what to tell my friend on the phone? PLEASE HELP I am worried about her!!!

hey cathy, I've broken points in my arm before and was able to pull them out with just my fingers. I have heard 'stories' of tips being broke in veins that are difficult to get out but I find them hard to believe.

What size needle was she using? What vein was she hitting?

Your best bet... if she is truly concerned by a medical emergency, she should contact emergency medical professionals. No one should drive her to the ER if they are under the influence and/or panicked (other parties could get injured en route)

What drug(s) was being injected? Are you certain she isn't playing on your sympathies? Sometimes when we are out of drugs we manipulate others in order to get more. Could this possibly be a part of some scheme of hers?

 

I've never been in such a situation, but If say that unless you're able to pull it out right away like a splinter, I'd say to get your friend to an ER just in case. There's a chance that it may wind up encapsulated or infected.
