New to Bluelight

Hi guys, I'm new to the site and am looking for some advice on some new treatment that my doctor has prescribed for me. I posted in the homeless thread yesterday morning but still haven't heard back. It's somewhat urgent, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Hi guys, I hate to keep posting, but I still haven't heard from anyone and I feel my situation is somewhat urgent. My doctor prescribed me a 12 day taper of methadone after taking 75-100 mg oxycodone a day for almost a year. Is 12 days too long to take methadone? I have heard it is impossible to quit once you are dependent. Please help me any way you can, I am worried I am making things worse for myself.

12 days is not too long to take methadone; if anything, that's an incredibly short taper.

Captain, thanks for your answer, it really helps ease my nerves. I am excited to finally be off opiates for good and I feel this will be a good way to do it.
