So I've had an account here for a while and since I picked up for the first time in like a year I thought I'd get back at it in the forums. So I was on suboxone for about 3 years because my doc just prescribed t and offered nothing else in the way of weaning off ect. So my first question is how long is the normal withdrawal for heroin? Because for my suboxone(I self weaned myself to .5-1 mg a day) I still don't feel normal and the withdrawal has just been lingering and dragging along. Anyway glad to be back and I hope to learn a lot, and talk to some cool people.

Oh and it'd be cool if some peeps from the middle TN area could sound off in here. Not looking for sources but it'd be cool to have people in the area when I have questions about recent quality and so on.

you may not feel 100% "right" or back to normal, until you quit using suboxone

There may be a post-acute withdrawal syndrome period which can last a few months, or longer.

My advice is to give it time, but to consider the idea that it is possible to quit now, and see if you're ready to do that.

From what I've heard it can take a long time to get that feeling of normalcy back. I have some experience with suboxone, but nothing long term. I don't think I've ever used it for more than a week at a time tbh. Mostly just to stave off acute wds.
