not sure what the big hype is. Few friends that thought they were awesome, My friend not sure, doesn't feel anything. What is a high on lorazepam suppose to feel like?

I can't stress this enough. Okay if you have a anxiety disorder like GAD PTSD OCD SA anything that would cause you to hide away in your home and be fearful all the time. That is when benzo's are fun because they give you your life back.....There where a few times back in 04 when I did klonopin and none of them compared to when I had my first OCD spike and took one and the euphoria just came flooding in. But if you are a downer person. Benzo's can be fun. Ativan isn't really all that great since it has a short half life and well it just wasn't my benzo.....Valium was fun but not all that fun. I rememeber there was a time when I would just pop a xanax just to see if it would give me that euphoria and all it did was make me go to sleep and shut my racing mind down. First time I ever taken a xanax I took a bar in 9th grade in 1rst period and slept in 3rd period to 7 period. Guess they could wake me up. There was nothing euphoric about it. As I didn't have the anxiety or stress i have today. Like I said. benzo's are only euphoric when you have high anxiety.

^ I sort of agree with what he says. If you have no anxiety then they really just make you tired. The are very good for people who like smoking weed but get anxiety from it. That is why I use to take them, I wouldn't even consider them without smoking weed on top of it.

Lorazepam (And Clonazepam) were the least recreational of all Benzos for me. Anyway I hope you or your friends don't develop an addiction. Benzo addiction is a nightmare :(

Thanks for the concern everyone, I will tread lightly. ;)

I definitely have an anxiety issue. Been diagnosed with GAD, PD and OCD... BUT because of my past opiate addiction, drs will not give me anything fun...I am not doing the drug seeking behavior at all, for they clue into that. They gave me Clonidine...booo... I love downers, always have. SO my friend gave my other friend some of her lorazepam 1 mg. So far shes taken 3.5 pills...and half a glass of wine too. Kinda relaxed but not much else. We miss the opiate buzz that you feel in your body...that ROCKS!

The desired result here is something to use recreationally, not every day, but something to get a nice relaxing nod...Any suggestions would be appreciated =D

Drinking on it is a bad idea......Cuz you could go to sleep and not wake up.....or go on a rage because you blacked out......Either isn't fun. And the wine is going to make you have a bigger hangover. YES! tread lighty. Because it is so easy to get addicted to it. If I had ever known that benzo's are the worst to come off. I would of taken as needed. I think....but IDK....I have a addictive persona so there's no telling. When I didn't have my pdoc I used to buy 1 mg xanax from a stupid punk and those where the times when my pure o would spike....I was on zoloft so for the long run I was okay but there was always something that would make me spike. You have OCD so you should know. Anyway's My GP decided since my blood pressure was high and I told him when ever the anxiety happens it usaully impossible to get rid of. So he put me on a hefty dose of klonopin. 1mg twice a day......Oh I wished that never happened now. I have been on valium xanax klonopin and I got some stivan from this dude. Other then that what kind of OCD do you have? like what is your theme? cuz it could either be classic like fear of germs. Or you can have mental rituals. which is called pure o. And is the hardest form of OCD to treat.

My Ocd is pretty straight laced as Ocd goes...lol....yeah the germ thing, I hate touching things like elevator buttons, door knobs, a keyboard or mouse at some one elses house, eating things that others have had their hands in, I hate shaking hands too. O and Im ANAL about organization. everything has to be just so. It makes it hard to have company and enjoy being out. I need to make sure that I lock my door when I leave, and sometimes, I HAVE to come back and check a dozen or so times....They gave me cipralex for the OCD....makes you SO fat. Ive tried it for 2 years and im done, so Im coming off of it, my psychiatrist is pretty young and I told him that if he ANY drug he prescribes me says MAY cause weight gain, im giving him a big negatory on that one!

I Don't even have a high blood pressure, and to get me outta the panic attacks they game me a blood pressure med clonidine. I don't know...

For me it was like alcohol. I no longer get euphoria from benzos but when I was benzo naive 2mg lorazepam, 1mg alprazolam and especially 30mg temazepam would get me feeling great and that was with no real anxiety issues. If I added in cannabis it was heaven.

Don't have access to all those ingredients, but I'll keep that in mind:\

Benzodiazepines make you feel relaxed somewhat similar to the relaxed part of drinking alcohol. Tell your friend or yourself to be careful, as they can cause cognitive problems and can easily become addictive. A new benzodiazepine user might try to take them to feel a strong effect, then before they realize it they need to increase the dosage to get that same effect. They might to do the same shit they do day in and day out, and find that mixing with drinking is dangerous. You can easily not realize how fucked up you are on benzodiazepines, and have a week seemingly go by very quickly. They make you feel sick when you withdraw from them, and if you've been taking a lot you can have dangerous withdrawals.

I for one like diazepam, because it has a good muscle relaxant effect that hits you quick. Clonazepam and Lorazepam will come on slow and are better for sedation. I have always liked lower doses of benzos, too. I know people taking crazy amounts, like 4-6 mg of alprazolam and clonazepam or 40-5 of diazepam. For me anything much more than a therapeutic dose just makes me real tired, and can sometimes have a paradoxical backwards effect and make me more anxious.

Withdrawing from benzos can cause excitotoxic rebound, a condition in which a person may incur brain damage, right? I thought I saw mention of that back when I was checking to see if withdrawing from DXM could cause some sort of excitotoxic changes in the brain. (It doesn't seem likely, from what I could gather.)

If you have a legitimate anxiety disorder its going to be hard for you to ever feel that high feeling. You just feel normal again, and drowsy. I've been on them so long and have such bad anxiety, the amount I'd have to take to get high would end up just knocking me out.

Also, a tip on alcohol and benzos: dont do it. You wont remember shit and will probably wake up naked somewhere on the other side of town.

I broke my usual regimen of low dose benzo and a few drinks. I threw in 1.5mg of Ativan I remember everything until 2:00 am. Woke up and my whole bedroom was soaked with piss. This is actually much better than most of the results from my blackouts despite the fact that having your room smell like piss when its 90 degrees outside is a bit suffocating...

My worst ones are best left untold

This nails it exactly. I have countless Benzo blackout stories about myself but I think the funniest one I ever read was this...

Triazolam is some potent stuff, I tried .5mg of it once combined with some valium and xanax and alcohol. The next day I woke up outside a McDonalds 20 miles away from my house with a bunch of random stolen shit in my car and a dead squirrel in my passenger seat. lol

I did "love" benzos when prescribed them and walking into court hearings a nervous wreck. They give them to death row inmates in CA to calm their nerves before execution. That was about it. Quit em since. K-pins give you the stupid. :p
