New to amphetamines

Hey.
Ive tryed to do my research first at places like erowid and google - honestly I have. But theres a couple of questions I havent been able to get answers for. Im pretty new to amphetamines, only had em once before (pink amph - from overcooking - see I read that!).
1. Why does my newly purchased amph smell wierd, like a permanent marker or solvently-type stuff?
2. Anyone know why my amphetamines is yellow with orange spots? I read yellows normal, but orange spots?
3. How do I know ifs its methamphetamine or normal amphetamine? Its in small lumps, but I wouldent say crystals (read shit about meth crystals at erowid).
If anyone could clear any of these up - Thanks a lot

Some Answers:
1) If you haven't done a lot of meth how do you know how it should smell? While I've never had meth I thought smelled like permenant marker, it all smells chemically because it is.... a chemical.
2) all the meth I've ever bought has been either clear, or slightly yellow, or brown in color. Specks of orange? Who knows. Probably, impurities. But, don't get too worked up over that. Most meth has impurities. Is your source to be trusted?
3) How can you tell if it's meth? Experience. If you don't have experience with it, find someone who does. Or, just do a line. If it keeps you up for hours on end then it's probably meth. Also, if you are new to meth, please be advised that I have found this to be a deceptive high. That is, you may be much higher than you think, and end up doing more. The best way to test just how high you really are is to lay down and close your eyes. If you can do that for five, or ten minutes without your eyes flying back open it's probably okay to do some more.

1. I dont mate. Thats basically what I wanted to ask. Should it smell really strong of sorta chemical-solventy smell?
2. Yeah I suppose I should just trust my source.. Ive know him for some time and I dont think he'd try to kill off a decent customer.
3. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Im mixing with esctasy beer and hash. Any experience with that? Especially ecstasy/alcohol?
 
Well, I've never done X, Meth, Hash, and Beer all in the same night, but I don't see any problem with that. Perhaps if you are out dancing, or doing something that makes you sweat you'd want to skip the beer as you need to be drinking water to replenish your system.
Personally, I don't like softening up a stimulant like X, or meth with a depressant like alcohol. Though I know plenty of people that do. Especially mixing GHB (another depressant) with X. I will smoke pot when coming down off a stimulant, and if it has been 2-3 days worth of doing meth I'll take a valium.

the permanent marker smell is probably just cause its chemicals. I havent personally smelt anything that i think smells like a permanent marker, but it always open to interpretation!
I've never seen orange spots before but like blue lava said, its probably just impurities, or maybe the stuff it is cut with (doubt it though)
Are you in australia? by the way you "talk" it sounds like you are. In which case i would say that its most definately amphetamines. Its harder and more expensive to get meth down here and is usually sold under a different name. If you bought "speed" or "go-ee" your got amphetamines.
as for mixing all that stuff, if your gonna have speed theres very little point in drinking alcohol. Speed and E is a good mix but i read somewhere (sorry cant remember source, maybe it was bluelight) that the mix of speed and E does more brain damage that E alone. Speed releases dopamine which binds to seratonin receptors and causes nureotoxicity. that being said, it is fun.....
Pot can be good for the comedown though i personally dont smoke it.

Just to add my OPINION WHICH I DO NOT CLAIM TO BE A FACT IN ANY WAY (OK?)
If you are going to mix speed and E, I would suggest you do the speed first and then the E. This runs a lower risk of neurotoxicity than doing it the other way around.

Are amphetamines smelly? Would a stronger smell indicate pure-er stuff? (in theory, not counting adulterants?) How smelly are amphetamines normally? (this stuff stinks!)
