been there, done that, thank you very much.

it's not that i doubt they are human, it's that groups that start with good causes in mind and grow to be organizations more often than not lose the human factor. they aren't a group of people who have something in common anymore. they are a legal entity.

regarding the rest of your reply, i read it as much as i'm able to read long texts. which is me showing respect to you, basically. but

simple: i have a demanding job and an ambiguous opinion on how things are being handled here. a lot of effort into legal stuff, rules, enforcement, which is all okay and necessary to a certain degree. but again: the human factor got lost in bureaucracy and politics.

and if so, what might have changed that?
users matured, or was it something else?
not that i miss that specific kind of posts, there's enough other places on the www to look at porn, if someone feels like it.

Maybe before I joined, best to ask someone other than me. But I think it was actually just nudes, not necessarily actual porn. But I don't really care if it's there or not. Like you said, porn is everywhere if you want to find it.

can you expand on this?

the rules that govern bl will never be comprehensive enough to completely and objectively address every case. the new terms are more comprehensive than the old blua - they add jurisdiction, indemnity clauses, liability limitations, a formal dispute process, age requirements, and much cleaner legal language throughout - but volunteer moderators will always need to apply discretion and, somewhat subjectively, interpret issues in the context of the new terms. the human factor will still be a factor.

we've not discussed this but here's my knee-jerk response.

nudity and pornography are not the same thing, and, in my reading, most legal definitions distinguish between them. pornography generally implies sexual acts, arousal-focused content, or material intended primarily for sexual gratification.

the nudie thread in the lounge is a long-established community tradition with clear consent rules and, as such, it would not typically meet the definition of "pornographic or sexually-explicit material".

Edit : Like the new branding version. That inconveniently took over ... or rather to state it more appropriately has been updated like the new designed Logo to view with any kind mindfulness.

And the new template that is conquered from said agreement that all members and user guests have collectively accessed. With the said omissions at this later date along with the new additions that have now been established currently and are updated. Proceeded and entered here. here
 
I don't if it's always been the case. but at least now. for saying something like.

Well observed. If you log out of the forums, and view them as unregistered, you should see the new terms and be required to agree to them to continue.

The second part of the roll out - for registered users - should happen any time now.

I know it's a minor inconvenience in reality, but for members who are logging in every time rather than just staying logged in it's painful to see it every single time before getting to the actual site.

I browse in private mode and don't stay logged in, is there some way to get to login without seeing it every single time? it's already becoming irritating ....and it's not like it's needed until actual content is read.
