Looking for suggestions for new or old TV shows to watch on my days off.
Also any good movies
It's always sunny in Philadelphia, dexter, the last of us, what we do inthe shadows. Comedy or something with an interesting story. I really like documentaries as well
I recently watched that for a 2nd time. So good.chernobyl
Trailer park boys is a great show. Not far off from reality in the east coast. Alot of great comedians came out of Canada. Was a pretty underrated show for a while
@superenforcer I have Netflix Amazon discovery + curiosity stream. I usually download movies and TV I don't get
thing is for OG like me I need all but sex scene to have a purpose and this is apparently impossible but we can do blender creation for kids or film done in and executed as green screen bs when gs is dead since 2014 in most action sequences.
for me early home old skool.. I have my list to but nothing since 2000's.
You should name some!
If that's the American version of Shameless well, I gotta advise people to give the original English show a bingeShameless is an awesome comedy series. William H Macy at the height of his powers.

One of the greatest ever tv shows imo, and absolutely wipes the floor with the American 'copy'
All totally valid points, and one of the reasons I struggled with the US one, but still think the original is in a different league to 'yours', in terms of scriptwriting and acting especially. One of the very best tv productions ever, imo. The occasional series may 'dip' but then always recovers in styleI think it's one of those things where there are too many specific cultural references, most people from over there will prefer the original and vice versa. I watched it before the US version came out way back when Netflix sent dvds by mail. It was great, for sure. But eventually there were too many moments when I didn't get a reference, or I had to turn on subtitles because someone's accent was too thick etc.
The American version is pretty good. I feel like a lot of Brit's don't give it a chance because they just assume its bad.

lmao regarding your accent comment, I was partially brought up in the city that the uk version is set in (and have many friends from there too) so I didn't have any issues on that score! If you struggle with that accent then ffs don't attempt to watch anything set in Liverpool, Newcastle or Glascow will ya
I gave the US version 2.5 seasons though, but it couldn't hold me any longer. It would be like 'us' trying to emulate 'Trailer Park Boys', not a hope in hell. (Have literally fallen off the sofa laughing watching both TPB and the 'real' Shameless). "A pint and two E's please, Karen"
Might actually be time for me to revisit TPB in it's entirety, genius.
