The misaligned frames in the profile area and BL mobile lite, as well as some other areas. Mobile light also has no spaced structuring or header colours.

That and not being able to edit posts either in quick reply or advanced is probably the most noticeable problem for me right now.

The sight is running a lot faster as a whole though than last night, so that's good.

Keep up the good work. I appreciate all the effort from the admins. Thanks.

New members cannot register. I haven't looged out to confirm this, but a friend of mine told me. There hasn't been a registration since the server went offline 17ish hours ago. I think this should take priority.

Yeah the lack of the post tools like italics and whatnot in the quick reply is bothersome.
It's sort of to be expected, you know the tags, just type 'em or Ctrl+C Ctrl+V them/

Courtesy of Erich Generic, as a work around, the EDIT and QUOTE buttons are still functional if you open them into a new tab instead of clicking directly onto them.

Seems to be working fine on my phone now apart from sometimes some code showing up occasionally at the top of the page.

Runtime/Line Errors

Please merge this with New Server/Upgrade Issues Thread which I cannot access. It's giving me a warning error message line 2958 and won't let me in to view it. Also I cannot access my mod thread, I got as far as viewing the threads. But when I select one to read, it brings me to a page half full of 1033 line errors. Thanks!

this. also the bottom of the text field disappears below other interface elements when editing.

like other i get "Warning: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is deprecated, use preg_replace_callback instead in ..../includes/class_bbcode.php on line 2958" a few times on the top and the "reply" and "quote" buttons don't do anything.

i'm on the latest OSX and Safari if that's of importance.

I'm also getting the "Warning: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is deprecated, use preg_replace_callback instead in ..../includes/class_bbcode.php on line 2958" error at the top and Quick Reply text box doesn't align correctly

Otherwise everything works ok for me atm!

Let me guess ..... You installed it with the .tar.gz from the vBulletin homepage, aot a "native" .deb or .rpm from the repository of the server's own distribution ?

I'm probably teaching my grandmother to suck eggs here, but it's always best to use distro-specific packages when you can cos they generally are patched to Just Work pretty seamlessly -- often with a post-installation script that takes care of any changes to file formats / database schemas by backing up the existing data and auto-converting it. Of course, all that depends on someone actually having done the hard work in the first place; and I don't even know what distro is underneath this. If it's not something very popular, it may well not evrn have a "native" version of vBulletin packaged for it. (I started out with Mandrake, before it became Mandriva. Lovely to look at, delightful GUI setup tools, but kind of short on native .rpms. Painful memories of learning the hard way about building from Source and what *-devel .rpms are for .....)

The warnings about deprecations look as though they are from PHP 5.4 -- I had a 'mare myself trying to update some scripts written in-house by my boss, my predecessor and me up to 10 years ago and relying on old pre-4.2 behaviour such as register_globals and magic_quotes, which has been removed altogether from 5.4. All of which had to be done in less time than we originally planned, due to the old server exiting stage left for the Great Data Centre in the Sky .....

Actually, for my last major web-driven project, I wrote the whole lot in Perl just so I didn't have to bother with PHP.

Oh, and one final tip for any aspiring boxherds: Avoid hardware RAID controllers! If you use the Linux kernel "md" software RAID drivers, each individual drive looks exactly as though it was just a normal drive on its own; you can just take the good drive, plug it into another machine with a cheap-as-chips USB-SATA drive enclosure and mount it ..... The 3Ware RAID controller in that old server must have done some weird stuff with the low-level formatting, because its disks were not readable that way ..... Only another 3Ware controller could read them.

The deprecation errors should be gone now. Still working on the missing WYSIWYG controls and the broken edit buttons. We did some server tuning this morning which have sped things up considerably.

Hey engineers/admins, don't know if anyone has mentioned that you can't edit posts, but I can't edit my posts. Not sure if anyone has already explained a temporary fix ITT, I didn't read it, just thought I'd let you know I can't edit my posts. Not transferred a website from one server to another myself, but presume it's just like when I drag and drop files on my desktop. Hate to be "that guy", but can you guys do some actual work for a change? Never perform technically demanding and anonymous voluntary work personally, but think that a sense of entitlement and taking things for granted is the proper attitude to those who do.
