So, ive been shadowing for about a year now, and now that i want to become clean, i have a chance to jump in...i did go figure. lol
I am a intravenous meth user for about a year consistently now. before that it was about 6months then i was clean for 6mo. then a trauma happened and i sought out how to shoot up myself. ( my ex administered i to me before)
i am about to be going off grid in the next day or two, mainly because i have nowhere else to go, and my car just broke. (great!! right!!) hot sweaty..and detoxing.. not looking forward to it, not looking forward to the pain that i know will come flooding back that i dont have insurance for. dont know what or why meth took there place, but works better than all the heavy pain meds they had me on. but i can do this. i will be going directly into volunteering at an off grid resort with no electric for around a month, then IDK...
little scared. if anyone has suggestions how to make it a bit more comfortable?
Thanks

Hey JC, welcome aboard! :)

Try and focus on the volunteering (which is a great thing I may add) and try and think positive thoughts. How come you decided to do the volunteering?

Hiya jc.butterfly,

Welcome to Bluelight - Please don't be scared, we don't bite :)

You may be interested in the following sub-forums;
- Other Drugs (OD)
- The Dark Side
- Sober Living
- Mental Health

- New Members Introductions (NMI) Social Thread
There also an - Adoption Programme which is basically a programme where current members (Bluelighters) befriend new members (Greenlighters) and help them settle into the site. If you decided that you'd like to become "adopted," feel welcome to post a reply to the adoption thread, expressing your interest which a bit about you (if you wish). The thread is also one of the sticky threads at the top of New Members Introductions (NMI) sub-forum.

I would also advise you to read the - Greenlighter's Guide and the rules known as - BLUA (Bluelight User Agreement) because they protect us members as well as the site. For instance; one of the rules is no sourcing, if a member had not read the rules and discusses sourcing, then they may receive a warning or whatever, and if they had have read the rules, they would have avoided receiving, eg a warning.

You're more than welcome to PM me if you ever need someone to talk to or just want a friend. Please feel free to ask any questions about the site and we'll try our best to help you. Every newcomer is valued here and has something to contribute.

Wishing you all the best and hope you enjoy your stay here.
Evey
