MXE is good and well, but only really good as a typed abbreviation.
Mixie/pixie (dust) is an easy 'street' name.
M-ket is a little misleading, but only because it sounds like m-cat. MXE does have a ketone group, so it's not really a misnomer.
 
Pixie Dust is what ketamine laced with liquid acid used to be sold as round here. Agree on the M-ket thing now you've pointed out the meph connection - hadn't thought of that. Definitely needs an easy to pronounce name cos it took me bloody ages trying to pronounce Methoxetamine out loud the first few times :D

So clever, yet so simple. I approve :)

On a related note: I'm sort of interested in Mexy (see it's catching on already), how pronounced are the dissociative effects compared to the 'relaxing' effects? Could you for example take a small amount to just comfortably chill without having your judgement clouded to much?
 
'Moxy' sounded good to me (as I like the word 'moxie' - different spelling, but who cares).

Then I realised it was not only George W's pronunciaton of 'democracy', but that miserable twat who wore the hat in Auf Wiedersehen Pet.
 
Moxy is also a common name for one of the tryptamines I forget the name of - the one that's similar to Foxy that I also can't remember the name of.

I don't usually approve of giving street names to RCs but this one may well hit the mainstream given the popularity of ket and no-one can pronounce the given name. Poll!

I'm with you on this, worded drugs ftw. There are some great names out there too, like pyrovalerone, fluminorex and etizolam. I'd be tempted to get hold of any of those based on the name alone. Aren't these people supposed to be marketers anyway? This is a serious issue imo - people making/selling new drugs urgently need to sharpen up their naming skills, unless we want to be swamped with hundreds more drugs with names like JWH-073 and 4-AcO-DMT. I think we've hit an all-time low with the arrival of the NBOMe series of psychedelics.

All the recent attempts like methoxetamine and methiopropamine are shit anyway I reckon - they're way too closely based on their chemical structure. I actually find it easier to say MXE/MPA. And the less said about Benzo Fury the better 8)

ahaha, that's one of the most abrupt changes of opinion I've heard in a while. Stimulants, eh? One moment you love 'em, the next :\
 
Outsider: Drugs like 4-AcO-DMT are named as such cos that's how chemical nomenclature works - tis a universal shorthand to make it clear what the molecule actually is so there's no confusion. Methoxetamine and some other recent names are basically made up by vendors (AFAIK) but are not really chemically accurate or useful in the same way as the standard form would be. The full chemical name for them is massive though so not exactly practical.

Giving RCs street names is usually a Bad Idea cos it tends to cause confusion and with the potency and effects of many of them you need to be absolutely clear about what you're taking. I'd make an exception for MexKetz for the reasons I mentioned previously though.

Could always make a "Name the Drug" thread and get a mod to pollerise it if the clamour for renaming it gets unbearable. If I still had me modstick I'd knock us up a quick poll cos polls are win. No can do now but sure there must be a mod or two who shares the <3 of a good poll. Or even a bad poll. Any kinda poll really. Poll <3
 
I know this thread says New RCs and that this is not one..however:

As I was saying in another thread; I noticed a couple of vendors selling DXM now.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think that it would really appeal to the masses? Do you think the purity would be up to scratch/would it be DXM at all?
 
I'm still going to call it Mexicali. Can't imagine when it will ever come up in one of my conversations ever again though.

Don: Have never tried DXM myself but am half-tempted now the RC sites are selling crystal - albeit rather pricey for what it is. They've been selling it a while now so doesn't look like taking off bigtime. Probably cos you can't snort it so even vendors aren't touting it as "the new meph". Seems to split folks right down the middle (opinion-wise, not literally... although that would be pretty cool if it did). Half the people who've tried it think it's shite but there are plenty of PD Peepz whose opinion I would always take seriously who really rate it. Only one way to find out...
